of Educational Film
INMAN - The Inman Commun
ity club met Monday evening,
A,.ril 30, at the assembly of the
high school.
Mr and Mrs Ira L. Watson
were in charge of the entertain
ment and showed a 45-minute
film called “New Pioneers.” It
is ,n educational film taken in
Nebraska showing the different
industries throughout the state.
One scene showed a hay crew at
work just south of Inman.
Lunch was served with Mr. and
Mrs L F Kopecky and Mr. and
Mr Livclle Butterfield as coffee
i. osts.

N'uys, Calif., and her daughter,
Mr- Idella Hughes of Glendale,
Calif., came Wednesday, May 2,
and are visiting in the homes of
Mr and Mrs W C. Kelley and

Mr and Mrs. Leo Sobotka and
baby daughter of Norfolk were
Monday evening, April 30, guests
in the home of John Sobotka and
Harold.
Mr. anti Mrs. Joseph Laney
of O’Neill drove to Columbus on
Tuesday, May 1, where they met
their sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Tick
i <>r of Denver, Colo. Enroute
home they stopped at Genoa and
brought their parents, Mr and
Mrs. George Laney, home with
them. Mr. and Mrs. Laney make
their home at the Genoa Haven
rest home during the winter

Youngs drove to Independence,
M , Wednesday, May 2, and on
T irsdav afternoon attended the

Inman resident and a cousin of
Mr Watson.
Mrs. Cora Caldwell returned to
her home at Utica the last of the
week where she will spend a few
weeks looking after business in
terests.
Harvey Tompkins returned on
Saturday from Minneapolis,
Minn., where he spent the past
two weeks attending the gener
al conference of the Methodist
church.
James Puikerman. sr., of Han
f<»rd, Calif., arrived here on Sat
urday for a visit with his son
in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth A. Coventry, and
buys and other relatives.

E. L. Watson drove to Hold
rege Sunday and spent the day

Mrs Watson, who had spent the
past week with Lu Ella, returned

Notice is hereby given that the
Articles of Incorporation of St.
Peter’s De Alcantara Church of
Ewing, at a meeting duly held on
March 26, 1956, were amended
bv the amendment of Articles 2,
3! 4 and 6 of the original Articles
and the addition thereto of Arti
cle 8 to read substantially as fol
lows:
2. The highest amount of in
debtedness which said corpora
tion shall be competent to con
tract shall be Fifty Thousand
Dollars, beyond which amount
this corporation has no power to
contract debts binding at law or
in equity upon it, its members or
its property.
3 The officers by whom the
affairs of the corporation shall be
conducted are a president, treas
brer and secretary The Arch
bisltop of the archdiocese to
which said church belongs, or in
• case of a vacancy in that office,
the Administrator of such arch
diocese, shall be exoffic.io pres
ident. The treasurer shall be ap
pointed b\ the president and the
secretary elected by the mem
bers.
4 In order to perpetuate a line
of succession In the members of
the corporation, the Archbishop
of the archdiocese to which the
church belongs, or his successor
in office, or in care of a vacancy,
the Administrator of such arch
diocese. the Vicar General, or his
successor in office, and the Pas
tor, or his successor in office,
shall be by virtue of such offices
members of the corporation.
, By appointment made by the
President, the Vicar General and
the Pastor there shall be two |
! lay members of the corporation.
6 The existence of this corpor
ation commenced on May 5, 1914.
