Sick & Injured LYNCH — Mrs. George Barta slipped on the ice recently frac tunng her arm at the elbow. . Louis Cranford, the barber in Spencer, was dismissed from the local hospital and returned to his and Aady Connot visited Mrs. Lena Connot at the local hospital on Thursday. Mrs. Harlan Holz returned to the Sacred Heart hospital Thursday. The burns she suffered recently when toe pressure cooker explod ed on the stove had become more troublesome. She was dismissed Sunday. CHAMBERS—Melvin Emde has been suffering with infection in his leg. . . Mrs. Ed Eisenhauer • who was recently dismissed from St. Anthony’s hospital following a siege of pneumonia, returned the first of the week with an at tack of phlebitis. . . Mrs. Bert Whiting had cataracts removed from her eyes at a Hastings hos pital Monday. . . Mrs. Lester Miles and twin sops returned home Saturday from, the Burwell hospital. O’NEILL—Mrs. H. W. Tomlin son consulted a doctor Tuesday in Norfolk. She was accompanied by Mrs. William Turner and Mrs. Wayne Stevens, both of Cham bers, and Mrs. Vannie Newman. . . , Frank Froelich submitted to a gall bladder operation in Ro chester, Minn., Wednesday. . . W. A. (Albert) Ellis, who resides at the O’Neill hotel, suffered a stroke Sunday. CLEARWATER — Rev. Roger Hayes, pastor of the Catholic church here, is in “fair” condition in the Antelope Memorial hospital at Neligh. Rev. Karl Kucera, chaplain at St. Anthony’s hospit al, O’Neill, supplied Sunday at the Clearwater church. RIVERSIDE—David, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Schra der was taken to Antelope Me- j morial hospital Saturday. He has ' pneumonia. . . Reverend Turner called on Mrs. Bertha Miller on Friday evening and reported her condition “much improved.” AMELIA — Jimmie Doolittle visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs., Tom Doolittle, last week. Jimmie is recuperating from an appendicitis operation followed ' by a siege of measles. . . Mrs. Blake Ott has been having influ enza. EMMET—Jackie Cole was sick with influenza Tuesday, February 14. . . Mervin Luben has been ill with measles last week. . . David Cole had the measles last week. . . . Candy Cole is ill with gland trouble this week. PAGE—Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Smith took Ern Trowbridge to Omaha Thursday for a checkup and adjustment of the artificial limb. Mrs. Terwilliger Impressed by Brainard Country_ CELIA—Mrs. Lee Terwilliger returned last Thursday from driv ing the Ray Disterhaupt family car to Brainard, Minn., taking Mrs. Disterhaupt and children there where the family has pur chased a dairy farm. Mr. Dister haupt took a truck load of house hold and farm supplies. Mrs. Terwilliger was very en thusiastic about the country with its big barns and silos, lakes with A many fishing huts on them and the many pine trees everywhere. She saw no stock cows in the fields but there were many cur ried dairy cows in the barns. Wa ter was piped into the barns.
