James Coventry, Ray and Bill arrived home early Wednesday morning, December 28, from El Paso, Tex., where they had spent Christmas with their son-in-law and daughter, Pvt. and Mrs. Graydon E. Hartigan. They also were down in Old Mexico. S/Sgt. and Mrs. Dewain Sukup and daughter, Linda, of Salina, Kans., spent Wednesday, Decem ber 28, visiting in the. home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Siders, and Marilyn. Howard Jackson, Jeannie and Billy left last Thursday for their home in Buhl, Ida., after spending several days here visiting rela tives and friends. Their son, Douglas, accompanied them as far as Chadron where he attends the Chadron State Teachers college. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hughes and son of Wisner spent Friday nere visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Hughes both taught in the Inman schools last year. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Clark took their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tjessem, and two daughters to Sioux City ear ly Sunday where they boarded a train for their home in Maywood, 111. The Tjessems had spent a week visitng in the Clark home. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McGraw drove to Amelia Sunday where they were dniner guests in the Donald Wolfe home. Mr. and Mrs. Ira L. Watson and son, Sam, drove to Valentine Sunday where they were new year’s dinner guests in the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Slusher, and sons. They were accompanied as far as Wood Lake by Miss Lu Ella Watson, who spent the day with her friend, Miss Willa Marie Tische. Supt. and Mrs. Gerald Nelson and boys returned Saturday from Sheridan, Wyo., where they spent the Christmas holidays visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Hutton spent the new years’ weekend in Omaha in the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hutton, and family and Miss Vicki Sue Hutton. Miss Lu Ella Watson returned to Holdrege on Monday where she teaches. Miss Marilyn Gallagher returned to Denver, Colo., where she is a student at Colorado State college. Don Kelly returned to . Norfolk Monday where he is a student at Norfolk Junior college and Miss Edith Gallagher return ed to St. Mary’s academy at O’ Neill after spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Gallagher, and family. Miss Carolyn Watson returned to Omaha the middle of the week. Carolyn is a student nurse at Im manuel hospital. She spent a few days in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Watson, and Sam. Joint Meeting Scheduled — The regular meeting of the Am erican Legion auxiliary, sched uled for Wednesday, January 4, has been postponed until Tues day, January 10.
