Mrs. Floyd Johnson spent Fri day night with Mrs. John Schultz while the men folk were on a coon hunt. It was an unsuccessful hunt, however, due to lack of moisture, the dogs are unable to follow a trail, but they are in good shape and eager to get started at some real hunting. Austin Hynes and Ed Bush were dinner guests on Monday at the Floyd Johnson home. Randy and Peggy, children of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Curran visited with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Curran from Monday untill Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Turner and Betty Jo of O’Neill called on Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vequist Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Lieb and family'-were November 6 visitors at the Sam Derickson home. Mr. and Mrs. William Claussen visited Sunday in Bristow at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Dric key. Mrs. Lyle Vequist was a Sun day morning caller at the home of her mother, Mrs. Celia Grutsch. Mr. and Mrs. George Calkins called at the home of their daugh ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hynes on Saturday evening. Henry Vequist and Ardell Cur ran went to Sioux City early Monday morning to the livestock sale. They had hogs and cattle to be sold there, which had been trucked down Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Benson, ac companied by Clen Benson of Norfolk, went to South Dakota on Saturday, returning Monday. Fertilization Talk Heard at Meeting INMAN—The Inman Commun ity club met Monday evening, Oc tober 31, at the school house for their regular meeting. President Walter Fick was in charge of the meeting. After the report of the standing committees M. E. Brouse of Lincoln gave a talk on “Fertil ization of Native Meadows” and showed colored slides that were taken in this area, all of which proved to be “very interesting”. Sandwiches, cake and coffee was served at the close of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Siders and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tomp kins were coffee hosts. Mr. Brouse was a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Siders during his stay here. Other Inman News Miss Abbie Hanley entertained the Coffee club at her home on Thursday. A covered dish lunch eon was enjoyed by the group at noon and social time. Mrs. Linelle Butterfield enter tained a group of friends at her home on Friday afternoon at a party. Mrs. Harvey Tompkins, Linelle and Neal drove to Utica on Wed nesday where they spent the day visiting Mrs. Tompkins parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Caldwell. They returned home the same evening. Herbert Nielsen left Wednes day morning for Gillette Wyo., where he will spend a few days visiting relatives and calling on old friends. The Nielsen family formerly lived in Wyoming. Andrew Jensen of Norfolk was a guest on Thursday in the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Gannon. Mr. Jensen was on his way to Eu gene, Ore., where he will visit for a while. Hallie and John Halstead of Orchard were Inman visitors on Friday. The Halsteads formerly lived here. Mrs. Charles A. Tompkins of Omaha and Mrs. Elsie Short of Mt. Vernon, Wash., arrived here on Wednesday evening and spent until Saturday at the home of Mr. nd Mrs. L. R. Tompkins. They also called on many old friends here as both Mrs. Tompkins and Mrs. Short are daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jason Gifford, who resided here for many years. Elsie and Clayton Kruegar were Neligh visitors on Saturday. Mrs. Mae Winters, Mrs. Sue Matthews and Emory Ek return ed to their home in Indepen dence, Mo., on Wednesday after spending several days visiting in the home of their sister-in-law and aunt, Mrs. Jennie Crosser. They also visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Miller. Mr. and Mrs. I. L.
