Girls Visit Ranch;
Enjoy Hay Ride
ROCK FALLS—On the after
noon of Thursday, October 13,
Mrs. William Murray of O’Neill
brought a group of girls out to
the Lazy FJ ranch where they
participated in a hay ride, after
having loaded the hay in the
rack themselves. They were driv
en by Linda Johnson over a rath
er rough and rocky trail, through
pastures and meadows where
they were unloaded to hike along
the creek for a mile or so explor
ing the works of the beaver in
that vicinity, also routing out
some deer, who thought they
were well hidden away for the
day.
As a result of the hike there
were several wet feet and some
more than that. Unfortunately,
there were some who couldn’t
walk foot logs as well as others.
However, at the end of the trail
*
they were treated to a wiener
roast with all the trimmings, fol
lowed by a few songs accompan
ied by Linda on the guitar.
The occasion was in honor of
Sharon Murray’s sixteenth birth
day anniversary. She received
some gifts.
There was only one complaint
—the afternoon was much too
short.
