Shirley Ann Naber Bride of Navy Mar ATKINSON—St. John’s Luther an church was the scene of th< wedding of Miss Shirley Ann Na ber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F H. Naber of Atkinson, and Dal* Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W Wilson of North Platte, formerh of Butte, at 8 o’clock Sunday evening, September 4. Rev. E. W Dantischek performed the double ring ceremony. Marjorie Sire of Butte played the wedding music and accom panied Howard Story, also ol Butte, who sang “Because” and “The Lord's Prayer.” The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white nylon tulle and French lace fash ioned with a bateau neckline and fitted bodice. The gown featured long tight sleey es ending in points at the wrists. Lace panniers ac cented the full skirt which fell into a court train. Miniature but* tons and loops completed the trim. A half-hat of chantilly lace trimmed with satin and tiny pearls held the elbow-length veil of im ported English illusion. Her bou quet was a cascade arrangement of red roses and angel feathers with white satin streamers. Paula Lee Wells of Butte serv ed as maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Marilou Sieler of Butte, Pa tricia Tienken of Naper and Dor othy Hahn of Butte. All were gowned in identically fashioned waltz-length, soft blue silk brocade gowns and wore matching head bands. Venita .lean Schwindt, gowned in white satin, was flowergirl and carried a bas ket of mums. John Cecil Naber of David City was the ringbearer. Serving his brother as bestman was Keith Wilson of North Platte. Groomsmen were Jerry Coburn, Elmer Bachman and Duane Zeis ler. Ushers were Harold Fernau and Harold Cobum. A reception for two hundred guests was held in the church parlors. A three-tier wedding cake trimmed and decorated with the bride’s colors of white and blue centered the bride’s table. After the newlyweds cut the first piece, Mrs. John Schwindt cut the cake. Mrs. Louis Siebert served the punch and Mrs. G. L. Saunders poured the coffee. Mrs. R. S. Co bum was hostess at the reception. Servers were Marilyn Smith, Gayle Siebert, Carol Wells and Susanne Saunders. Sandra Saunders of Lincoln had charge of the guest book. Twila and Deana Wilson were in charge of gifts. The bride attended Atkinson high school and graduated from Butte high school in 1954. She at tended Lincoln School of Com merce and has been employed in Lincoln. The bridegroom was graduated from Butte high school in 1950 and attended the University of Denver (Colo.) He has been serv ing in the navy for the past three years. He and his bride will make their home in San Diego, Calif., where he will have shore duty. They left for California Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson presented a dance for their friends at the Butte Legion hall following the reception. Wedding guests from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Those attending were: Mr, and Mrs. Cecil Philmalee and Mrs. Maud Crosby, all of Loretto; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Crosby and son, Loran, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cros by and daughter, Raelynn, all of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. James Crosby and son, Jimmy, of Albicn; Mr. and Mrs. James Schindler of Omaha. Gibson Teacher in Third Year STAR—The Gibson school op ened this week with Miss Diane Hoffman as the teacher. This is her third year at the school. Miss Ruth Miller began her duties as the teacher in district 63 in Knox county. She will board and room at the home of Mrs. Hattie Boelter. Miss Miller taught this school last year. The Richard Miller family, Mrs. Hulda Miller and daughters, the Soren Sorensen family, Mrs. Pearl Groeling and family and the Lysle Johnson family spent Tuesday evening, August 30, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Wid holm and family to honor Wil bert’s birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Ewalt Miller at tended the celebration in Butte on Saturday. While there they also visited with the Edwin Horst fam ily. They also met Mrs. Miller’s cousins, Gordon Butterfield and family of Omaha, who were vis iting with Mrs. Butterfield’s rela tives at Butte. The Tom Boyd family of Oma ha spent the labor day weekend with Mrs. Boyd’s relatives, the 1 Derickson families. Mrs. Boyd is the former Mabel Derickson. On Friday afternoon aftei school Kay Bergstrom, who was celebrating a birthday anniver sary, was surprised when the fifth and sixth grade girls in her room gathered at her home to join her in celebrating the occasion Games provided by the mother, Mrs. Elmer Bergstrom, were en joyed followed by the opening of gifts by Kay. The decorated birthday cake was served as a part of the refreshments. Mrs. Clayton McMann of Los Angeles, Calif., was a guest on Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bergstrom. Mrs. Mc Mann and Mrs. Bergstrom were schoolmates. Charles Bergstrom and his sis ter, Miss Lois Ann Bergstrom, both of Norfolk, spent the week I end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Bergstrom. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hintz accom panied their son, Leo Hintz, to Clearwater on Sunday where they visited at the homes of Mrs. Lena Michael and Mrs. Henry Smith. Mrs. Dora Shipp of Harlan came Saturday to spend the holiday weekend with her son-in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edwards and family. Mrs. Daryl Walling and daugh ter, Diane June, came home from St. Anthony’s hospital on Tuesday and are staying writh her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gibson. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Harris and daughter, Bertha, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gibson and family. The gathering was in honor of the Kluma family from Oregon. Richard McIntosh Is Four-Years-Old— Little Richard McIntosh cele brated his fourth birthday anni versary Wednesday at a party at his home. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William W. McIntosh. Jerry Lohaus and his fiancee. Miss Rita Lanoha, both of Omaha, left Monday after having visited Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Lohaus for three days.
