under a modified Danish system may use the total monies offered fo
each class, and divide among the four top-ranking exhibitors in eacl
class as the show warrants.
Ribbons for the following awards will be given by Ak-Sar-Ber
In DIVISIONS IX, X, XI and XII, winners will be determine)
by total points earned. Each first place or blue award will count I
points; second place or red award 4 points; third place or whit
award 3 points; fourth place 2 points, and fifth place 1 point.
In DIVISION IX, X and XII, exhibitors are only eligible to com
pete in the class embodying the project they are carrying in theL
club.
With the exception of the team demonstrations, all contests an
open to individual club members.

Rodeo competitors must keep in fine physical trim to subject
themselves to some of the contortions that result from bull riding.
These cowboys are among the best athletes in the world. This pic
ture (above) was taken at last year’s Burwell rodeo and the tall
Texan emerged from the spill no worse for the wear. Rodeo com
petitors frequently are hurt. An ambulance always stands by.

Members of the East Side Koun
try Klub and their families were
at the Page park for a picnic sup
per on Sunday evening, July 17.
The MYF met at the Page Meth
odist church Sunday evening. Judy
Simmons led the devotions and
Lois Saltz the lesson on “Democ
racy.” Plans for August meetings
were discussed. The O’Neill soci
ety has invited the Page group to
a swimming party at O’Neill on
Friday evening followed by a
wiener roast.
