Exchange Vows in Afternoon Rite ° at Methodist Church (Photo at right) Miss Frances Lynne Reimer, daughter of Holt County Judge and Mrs. Louis W. Reimer of O’ o Neill, and Richard G. Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson of O’Neill, were united in marriage Sunday afternoon, July 17, at 2 o’clock in First Methodist church here before an altar decorated with candelabra and baskets of pink gladioli and asters. Rev. Glenn Kennicott performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, appeared in a waltz length gown of nylon lace and net over satin, featuring a fitted bodice of lace and a skirt of alter nated tiers of lace and net ruf „ fles. A tiny lace hat held the nylon net veil in place. She car ried a colonial bouquet of pink carnations. Miss Glenna Strong of Lincoln, maid-of-honor, and Miss Esther • Kaiser, bridesmaid, appeared in identical light blue crystalette dresses featuring dropped waist lines and large bows at the back below V-necklines. They wore matching blue hats and carried •bouquets of pink and white car nations arranged with white net. Allen Walters, cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman, and Gary Nelson, also a cousin of the bridegroom, was attendant. ; Ushers were DeWayne Anson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, ' and Henry F. Reimer and Louis j W. Reimer, jr., both brothers of the bride. j.iic ivua^cs rauiud ana Arlene Walters were candlelight ers. They wore blue dresses. Miss PeBolt’s dress was made prin cess style and Miss Walters’ gown featured a dropped waistline. Both wore white hats and white carna tion corsages. The bride’s mother wore a mauve pink pongee dress. The bridegroom’s mother appeared in a blue sh'eer. Both had white cor sages. Mrs. Howard D. Manson played the traditional wedding marches and accompanied Richard Smith son, soloist, who sang “Because,” “I Love Thee” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”. Sue Nelson and Sharon Anson of O’Neill, sister and niece of the bridegroom, were flowergirls. Steven Taylor of Grand Island, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Following the ceremony, a re ception was held for one hun dred guests in the Methodist church parlors. The four-tier wed ding cake was decorated with white and light blue and topped g by a miniature bride and bride groom. Miss Elayne Reimer of Ewing and Mrs. Edward Davis poured coffee and Mrs. H. F. Reimer served the punch. Mrs. DeWayne Anson had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Lucien Taylor and Mrs. J. F. Bangs had charge of the gifts and Mrs. Louis Reimer, jr., the flow ers. For traveling, the bride chose a dress of cocoa brown designer fabric with pink accessories. After a short wedding trip, they will be at home in O’Neill. Mrs. Nelson was graduated from O’Neill high school, class of 1954, and is employed as secretary to the superintendent of the O’ Neill city schools. Mr. Nelson was graduated from O’Neill high, school, class of 1951, and is em ployed by Gambles as a salesman. Boyle-Crawford Nuptials Here Miss Rosalie Marie Boyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyle of O’Neill, and Arnold Crawford of Sheridan, Wyo., son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Crawford of Ewing, were married Wednes day, July 6, at St. Patrick’s Cath olic church. Rev. Timothy O’Sul livan performed the double-ring «, ceremony. Miss Charline Boyle, sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor. Miss Theresa Boyle, also a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Charles Boyle, cousin of the bride, served as bestman. Carlyle Craw ford, borther of the bridegroom, was second attendant. Edwin Babl and Pat Boyle served as ushers. 9 m ■ ■ - To Black Hills— Mr. and Mrs. Frank McKenny spent three days last week vaca tioning in the Black Hills. Mr. McKenny returned to his duties at Gambles on Tuesday. .John Bauld Weds Washingtonian 3° 0 0 V Miss Donna Acheson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Acheson of Vancouver, Wash., became the bride of John Bauld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bauld, on May 21 at Santa Monica, Calif. Morsett Family in Reunion— • Forty-three members of the Morsett family held a reunion at; the Ainsworth park Sunday. One visitor was also in attend ance. Mrs. Jenniete Harvey of Or chard was the oldest and Connie Morsett of Blackpie, S.D., daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morsett, was the youngest. There were two births, no deaths and two marriages report ed the past year. ' Coming the gretaest distance was J. E. Schneider and Esther Elifrits of St. Joseph, Mo. A picnic dinner was served at noon followed by an afternoon of visiting. Everyone visited the museum in the park. Those attending were Mrs. Jen niete Harvey of Orchard; Mr. and Mrs. George Harvey and George, jr., and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Morsett and family, all of Royal; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Moser and Mrs. A. E. Schneider, both of St. Joseph, Mo. Mrs. Josephine Groeling came to O’Neill Friday from Orchard and later went with Mr. and Mrs. George Mott to Spencer to visit Frank Mott, who is ill. They stayed overnight and returned on Saturday to O’Neill. Riverside News Jackie Busshardt of Neligh visiter her gandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pollock, a few days last week. Mrs. James Pollock entertained the Jolly Workers club at her home Thursday afternoon. The ladies spent the afternoon sewing quilt blocks and visiting. Mrs. Esther Zmmerman and Mrs. Martin Helmricks left by Pus Monday to visit their sisters, Laura and Dorothy Zimmerman, in Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah. After some sightseeing they will all return to Nebraska by car. Laura and Dorothy teach school there and have been at tending summer school. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Fry and children and g|r. and Mrs. Lee Fink and sons were Sunday din ner guests of the Richard Nap iers. Irvin Christon of Newport and Mr. and Mrs. Web Napier were Sunday supper guests of,Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christon. Irvin was celebrating a birthday anniver sary. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lofquest and children were Sunday dinner guests of the Don Larson family. Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Snell of Page and Mrs. Nona Bedford of Troy, O., visited Wednesday, July 13, at the Dave Poilock home. Mrs. Bedford remained until Saturday to visit the Pol locks. Miss Jackie Mosel is on a tour of many points of interest in the East and in Canada. She is with a group from Yankton, S.D., col lege for which she receives col lege credit. Mrs. Gerald Hadduck and Mrs. Wayne Fry and girls called Friday afternoon on Mrs. Jim Bartak and children * and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Retke at In man. O’NEILL LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Revel and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Revel went to Pickstown, S.D., Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Switzer were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Freida Asher in Page. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson and family of Detroit, Mich., came Sunday and stayed until Wednesday in the Mike Troshyn ski home. They visited several other relatives and friends while here. They will go on to Califor nia where they will spend a week with his mother. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Shellhase visited Sunday evening with Mrs. Ethel Frisch and sons, Larry and Arthur. Jeanny Tomlinson returned Saturday from Denver, Colo., where she visited her mother, Mrs. Doris Tomlinson, also her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred NcNally and two uncles, James and Bernard NcNally. 0 children of Denver, Colo., and three of the Bill Fink children arrived Thursday for a visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Mott and children were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Belle Mott at Page. Sharon remained for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Z. H. Fry took Deana, Reed and Cheryl Emsic to Newman Grove Saturday night. Their father met them there and they returned to their home in Omaha, after a 2 week visit with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Fry were Saturday over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed gar Jensen. Harold Wilson and daughter of Lake Andes, S.D., and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wilson and daughter of Tacoma, Wash., called Saturday at the Grant Mott home. The Wilsons formerly lived in the Riverside community. After noon callers were the Ora and Wendell Switzers.
