Miss Coats, a graduate of Colo rado Women’s college and the University of Nebraska, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norris W. Coats of Stuart. Fishing Near Ainsworth— Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grenier and Carol and Mrs. Preston Jones went to Ainsworth Sunday. Mrs. Jones spent the day visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Fridley, and family. The Greniers spent part of the day visiting Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sawyer and family. Later, the Sawyers and Greniers went fish ing in lakes near Ainsworth. O’NEILL LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Lohaus left Monday for Omaha. They re turned again on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Axel Lantz of Red Oak, la., were weekend guests in the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Larson. Terry Tibbetts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tibbetts of Norfolk, is staying in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McDermott while her mother is in a Norfolk hospital. Clinkscales-Fiala Rites at Columbus COLUMBUS — Miss Edyth Kathryn Clinkscales, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Clink scales of Columbus, and 1/Lt. Charles James Fiala, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fiala of Howells, were united in marriage on Sat urday, June 25, at a 9 o’clock ser vice in St. Bonaventure Catholic church in Columbus. Rev. Conrad performed the double-ring cere mony before an altar decorated with white gladioli. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of rose pattern chantilly lace over satin. The bodice featured a square neckline and a dropped waist. Tiny organdy flowers centered with rhinestones decorated the bodice and skirt. She wore a fin gertip veil of imported illusion held in place by a pill-box style crown decorated with pearls and rhinestones. She carried a white orchid on a white prayer book. Miss Lauretta Clinkscales of Kansas City, Mo., sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Mrs. J. Earl Foster of Iowa City, la., cousin of the bride, was matron of-honor. They wore identical gowns of light blue crystalette featuring scoop necklines and cap sleeves, pleated yokes and pleated panels in the back of the skirt. They wore face veils tied with nosegays and carried white orchids. The bridegroom’s attendants were Daniel Fiala of Howells, a brother, and 1/Lt. Alvin Grum of San Antonio, Tex., a friend. The Misses Jean Ger ber, Mary Fiala, Kay Vanderlage, Violet Stevenson Elaine Boettcher, Mary Ann Dunn, Ruth Korte and Yvonne Mitera served. Mrs. Er win Krumland and Mrs. Albert Vonderlage had charge of the gifts. Mrs. Franklin Fowler took charge of the guest-book. The bride is a graduate ol Howells high school. She attended Duchesne college and Creighton university both in Omaha. She has been employed at the Co lumbus Medical Center. The bridegroom is a graduate of Howells high school and the United States Military academj at West Point, N.Y. He served with the army in Korea and a1 present is assigned to the Omaha engineering district in Omaha. For traveling, the bride chose a beige linen suit with brown ac cessories. " _ _ . .. , ‘Flying Dutchman’ Dance Music Picked REDBIRD—The Redbird Lucky Clover 4-H club met Friday, June 17 with Rexford, Claranna and June Carson. During the business meeting it was decided to donate $5 to the 4-H building fund at Chambers and to buy a record for the “Flying Dutchman” dance. After all lessons were finished the young people enjoyed a ball game. Jo Anne Aim and Randy Pinkerman were guests. Jo Anne joined the club which now has 22 members. Mrs. Albert Carson served a picnic luncheon out in the yard at 5 o’clock. The cooking girls also served their mulberry cob bler and a pudding for all to sam ple. The July meeting will be with the Halstead children. Other Redbird News Harvey Krugman took two 4 H’ers, his son, Eddie, and Rex ford Carson to Dakota City Wed nesday, June 15, to the annual Aberdeen-Angus field day. Harvey Krugman and Mrs. Wil ia Schollmeyer drove cars to Bas sett Tuesday, June 14, taking 4-H members to attend the judging instruction day held there. Those who went were Eddie and Janet Krugman, Rexford and June Car son, Bruce Schollmeyer, Larry, Doris and Helen Halstead, Ruth Osborn, Leroy Hull, Marlyn Gra ham and Mrs. Lila Hull. That eve ning nearly all the members at tended the wedding dance of Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Thomson at Lynch. Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Pinkerman and little son arrived recently from Alaska where Reggie had been stationed the past year with ! the army. The next meeting will be at the home of Clarence Gilg with Bob and Don Pettinger assisting on July 10. Roll call will be answer ed by giving an idea for “share the fun.” On Tuesday, June 14, 10 mem bers and four leaders of the Clo ver club attended 4-H judging day at Bassett.
