Program Concludes Ewing Bible School EWING—A program and ex blb\tlon brought the vacation Bible school to a close Friday evening, May 27, for the bovs and girls of the United States'Pres byterian and the First Methodist churches. The school was held at the Methodist church. A large crowd of interested parents and friends were in attendance. Songs, Bible memory work, skits made up the evening’s en t-rtainment, carrying out the tneme, “Marching Together for Jesus”. Some excellent craft work was on display. Pianist were the Misses, Jan ell Hoke, Carolyn Tams and San dra Shrader. Mrs. Carl Christon of the United Presbyterian church was the the superinten dent of the vacation bible school. Mrs. J. L. Pruden was the secre tary-treasurer. Teachers were: Nursery class — Mrs. W. J. Bomer, assistant, Pat ricia Hahlbeck; Beginners—Mrs. Richard Napier, assistants Janell Hoke and Sandra Shrader; Pri mary—Mrs. Archie Johnston and Mrs. Lionel Gunter, assistants, Carolyn Tams and Maryetta Petersen; Juniors — Ina Bennett and Mrs. Claude Elliot, assisted by Patricia Wright; Junior hi— Mrs. Robert Tams, assisted by Linda Tuttle., During the week, the average daily attendance was 81. Other Ewing News Mrs. John Wunner left Friday, May 27, to spend the holiday weekend with relatives in Stan ton and Norfolk. She returned home Tuesday, May 31. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Saiser had as their memorial weekend guests their daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hoag and family of Omaha. The Hoags also visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hoag in Ewing. On Saturday, May 28, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Saiser, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hoag and son of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hoag of Ewing spent the day at Pickstown, S.D. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rother ham and family spent the memor ial weekend in Omaha visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Noffke and family of Albion spent the holi day weekend with his mother, Mrs. Pauline Noffke, and his brother, Frank Noffke, and fam ily. Mrs. Lena Kirschmier enjoyed a memorial weekend visit from her son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kirschmier, ar.d family of Wichita, Kans. They also visited relatives at O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rother ham and family went to Carroll on Sunday, May 29, to visit rel atives and go to the cemetery for memorial day. Mr. and Mrs. George Mont gomery entertained at a farewell dinner party honoring their daughter, Mrs. James Love. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lor raine Montgomery and sons, How ard Montgomery' Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Hoke and family and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Horde, all of Ewing, and Miss Phyllis Webinkle of Neligh. Rev. and Mrs. Lee Brigden and son, Gary, left after the Sunday, May 29, worship service to at tend conference. They plan to go to California after conference for a three-weeks’ vacation with rel atives. Ray Seiivy, layman, had charge of the Sunday morning, June 5, worship hour during Rev erend Brigden’s absence. O’Neill News Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lorenz went to Grand Island where they visited friends and met their daughter, Patty. She had been visiting at Jewell, Kans. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kaiser and family visited Sunday after noon with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kliment in Atkinson. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Austin of Anston, Ala., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Walter Austin in Plain view and Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly in O’Neill. Mrs. Austin is the for mer Mary Lois Kelly. Mrs. Don Hopkins and girls visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Meyers in Clearwater. Mr. and Mrs. E. O.
