History of Amelia Church Presented AMELIA—Mr. and Mrs. Law rence Barnett and family were guests of honor at a community dinner held at the Methodist church annex on Sunday, May 1. One hundred sixty people sign ed the guestbook. There was a short program following the din ner. A mixed chorus composed of .Phyllis and Dale Fullerton, Ro chelle and Duane Sammons, Joan Fullerton and Beth Watson sang several numbers. Marcia "VVidman and Rochelle Sammons played a piano duet. Marcia Widman sang a solo, “God Bless America”. C Mrs. Ralph Rees gave a short history of the church, and illustrated the old church as - it was when first moved to '• Amelia from the Green Valley community. Don Adams played a piano solo. Mrs. Dorothy Fullerton, Mrs. Lloyd Waldo and Mrs. Alvin o — Forbes sang “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep Thee”. Mrs. Margie Sammons presented a reading. Lyons of the O’ Neill recuriting office stated these men have gone to Camp Chaffee, Ark., for further pro cessing, training and reassingn ment Mrs. Martin Goes to Greet Son— Mrs. Henry Martin departed Tuesday for Camp Carson, Colo., to meet her son, Allen, who had landed in Seattle, Wash., after having served in Korea and Ja pan. He had called her Sunday from Billings, Mont., enroute to Colorado. Mrs. Lod Janousek accompan ied Mrs. Martin to North Platte where she will visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beckwith. Grandaughter Plays Piano— Mrs. W. H.
