t WSCS to Undertake Basement Remodeling CHAMBERS — Hie Woman’s Society of Christian Service held a bake sale at the Shavlik hard o ware Saturday. The proceeds amounted to $42. On the <way home they called on Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carpenter and Mrs. JLydia Harris at Neligh. Family night was held at the Methodist church Sunday eve hing with a good attendance. A Korean film was shown by \“Shorty’'o Fauquier. Mrs. C. V. Robertson was in charge of the short program. Auxiliary Serves Ewing Firemen EWING—The annual dinner of the Ewing fire department was held Thursday evening, at the American legion club and was at tended by 45 persons. Fire Chief Cecil Bergstrom and Ralph Munn gave talks pertaining to fire pro tection and R. H. Shain spoke on civil defence. At the business meeting, May 17 was set as the date for the an nual firemen’s ball to be held at Summer land. The dinner was prepared and served by the American Legion auxiliary, unit 214. Arrive from East to Attend Funeral— PAGE—Ensign and Mrs. Har old Tegeler arrived at Sioux City Monday morning from East Greenwich, R.I., to attend funeral services for Mrs. Tegeler’s grand mother, Mrs. Susan Hathaway, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Anderson, at Randolph. Ensign Tegeler’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry ‘Tegeler, were to go to Randolph Monday to attend funeral services Tuesday for Mrs. Hathaway and to visit their son and daughter in-law. The architect of the proposed building is H. J. Strong Associates of Norfolk. The building will include six class rooms, a kindergarten room, a multi-purpose room and an extra storage room which may oe converted to a kitchen at a later date, it will oe a orick veneer building with a tile and plywood paneling interior. The floors will be asphalt tile. There will be built-in storage cabinets and shelv ing in the class rooms, semi-indirect lighting, devices necessary for audio and visual aids. Warren James Gallagher, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Galla gher of Inman, sailed for the United States from Honolulu, T.H., Monday, April 18. Private Gallagher served in Korea and Japan a year and since October, 1954, has been stationed at Scho field Barracks in Hawaii. He is an ambulance driver in the army medical corps. Mrs. Frank Froelich arrived home April 18 from Hartington v here she had been visiting for the past 10 days at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Wanser. Mrs. George Bartos and family and Mrs. Henry Benze and daughter visited Wednesday, Ap ril 20, at the Joseph Bartos home in Atkinson. Mrs. John J. Harrington. Mrs. Lod Janousek and Mrs. Frank Clements spent from Saturday until Monday in Lincoln. Sunday they attended a CDA state con ference. Mrs. A. A.
