Mr. and Mrs. Leo Edward Sobotka ... to reside here.—O’Neill Photo Co. - <f Jauernig - Sobotka Nuptials Read Here Miss Lucille Beatrice Jauernig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Jauernig of Stuart, and Ed ward Sobotka, son of John So botka of Inman, were united in marriage Tuesday, February 22, at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in O’Neill. Rev. Thomas Hitch officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, M. Arnold Jauer nig, wore a waltz-length gown styled with a lace bodice, peter pan collar and long sleeves. Her fingertip veil of net was held in place by a tiarra of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red car nations. Leona J. Jauernig was maid of-honor for her sister. She wore an aqua ballerina length gown of net ruffles over taffeta with a matching head band. Mrs. Ger ald Sobotka of Norfolk, sister-in law of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. She wore a yellow ballerina length gown of lace and net over taffeta with a matching head band. Both carried bouquets of red carnations. The bridegroom was attended by his brothers, Harvey of Inman and Gerald of Norfolk. Miss Alvara Ramm of Stuart, organist, accompanied Miss Pa tricia Mullen, soloist, who sang “Ave Maria” and “On This Day.” A wedding breakfast for the bridal party, members of the bu rn e d i a t e families and close friends was held following the • ' * _ "1 -1 ceremony, at the M&M cafe. The bride was graduated from Stuart high school and has been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone company at O’Neill for the past three years. The bridegroom, since graduating from Inman high school, has been employed at the Elkhorn Valley Hay company in Inman. After a short wedding trip, the couple will live in O’Neill. Lyle Childers Family Moves to St. Edward CHAMBERS — A number of families have moved or are plan ning to move soon in the Cham bers community. Included are: Mr. and Mrs. Wade Davis and family moved this week to the Will David farm southeast of Chambers which they purchased some time ago. The Davids mov ed to Neligh. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Svatos moved to the place vacated by Mr. and Mrs. John Blair and Mr. and Mrs. Al vin Blair. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Carr of O’Neill will move onto the place vacated by the Wade Davis family. The John Blairs are moving in to Chambers. Mr. and Mrs. Bayne Grubb and children plan to move soon to a farm one mile west and one mile south of town. Mr. and Mrs. Er nest Durre, jr., will locate on the place four miles west of Cham bers which the Grubbs vacated. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gartner, who reside on the Newhouse place east of Chambers, will move soon to the place northeast ofj town which has been occupied by Mr. and Mrs. James Butts and children. The Butts family will move to the farm south of Cham bers now occupied by the John Shippmans and the Shippmans to the ranch of the late Will Reitz northeast of town. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Childers and family moved Wednesday, Febru ary 23, from a farm four miles west of Chambers to St. Edward, where he will be employed by a seed compay. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil David have rented the place va cated by the Childers family and moved there the last of the week Mr. and Mrs. Duane McKay and children moved Friday to O’Neill where he is employed by the Dan kert Service. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Blair moved Saturday to a ranch near Butte. Other Chambers News Mrs. Anna Albers and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Covey were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Honeywell. Lt.-Cmdr. and Mrs. Don Honey well and family visited Wednes day and Thursday, February 23 24, with Mrs. Charlotte Honey well. They came here from Wash ington, D.C., where he has been stationed. He is enroute to Guam. Mrs. Honeywell and children will j stay for a while with her mother 1 at Neligh. Commander Honeywell j is a grandson of Mrs. Charlotte Honeywell. Mrs. Charlotte Honeywell and her house guest, Mrs. Eva Mc Cloud, visited Mrs. Mina Myers Sunday afternoon. About four carloads of Cham bers Methodist youth fellowship members and sponsors held a roller skating party at Plainview Sunday evening. The Kellar Ladies’ club met on Wednesday, February 23, at the home of Mrs. Clarence Grimes with 13 members present. A quiz program under the direction of Mrs. Grimes was presented. Mrs. Louis Harley won the door prize. Lunch was served by the hostess. The next meeting will be March 9 at the home of Mrs. Melvin Bell. Marilyn Walter came from Cen tral City, where she teach es school, to spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H C. Walter. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Catron have sold their IGA store to Mr. Dobbs of Emerson. The exact date of transfer has not been determ ined. The Rebekah lodge will meet on Friday, March 11, at the lodge rooms. A party has been planned for entertainment. Each member is asked to bring a guest and a covered dish. The American Legion and Brown Motor Co. cleanup sale, which had been postponed from Saturday, February 19, was held Saturday, February 26. A fairly large crowd attended and “very satisfactory” prices were receiv ed. In church league basketball play last Thursday, the Methodists defeated the Lutherans, 56-36, and the Baptists eked out a nine point won over the Bethany Pres byterians. " Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ressel Spent the weekend at Atlantic, la., with Mrs. Ressel’s sister, Mrs. James Cavanaugh. Newlyweds Will Reside at Kimball Miss Ann Connot, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Connot of Clear ! field. S.D., became the bride of } Donald Harmon, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Harmon of O’Neill, on 1 Monday, February 21, at 9 a.m. The marriage lines were read in St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic church in Omaha. Reverend Bartak officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and a cor sage of white carnations. She car ried a white prayer book. Her attendant, Josephine Thiele, a friend of the bride, wore a beige suit with brown accessories.1 The attendant wore a corsage of yellow carnations. The bridegroom was attired in a ravy blue suit. His attendant. Richard Tibbetts, a friend of the bridegroom, wore a light blue suit. Each wore a w’hite carnation bou tonniere. The wedding breakfast was served at the Blackstone hotel in Omaha. Mrs. Harmon wras graduated from St. Mary’s academy in O’ Neill in 1953. She attended the airline personnel training school and was employed for the past year at Mutual Benefit of Omaha. Mr. Harmon was graduated from O’Neill high school. He serv ed two years in the army and is row employed by the state of Ne- i braska department of roads and irrigation. After a short honeymoon they will reside in Kimball. Donat'd Harmon, Bride Are Feted— Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Harmon honored their son and daughter in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Harmon of Kimball, at a party at their home Friday night. Mrs. Harmdn, the former Ann Connot, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Con not of Clearfield, S.D., and Don ald were married Monday, Feb ruary 21, at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic church in Omaha. The evening was spent socially.
