Murman Cuts Eagle
Cage Squad to 24
The O’Neill high Eagles open
their 1954-’55 basketball season
against St. Mary’s academy PYi
day night, December 3.
The squad has been cut to 24,
but still no definite starting line
has been named. Darold Strong,
one of the returning lettermen,
quit school, leaving four letter
men but no regulars from last
year’s squad.
The Eagles lack height and
experience but have average
speed. Duane Alton and Bob
Sanders, both lettermen, are the
tall boys at six feet even. Ed
Gatz and Dick Gaskill are the
other two returning lettermen.
Pressing for a starting berth
from last year’s reserve squad
are Frank Fetrow, Larry Strong
and Larry Conarro.
