Elaine Babutzke, Paul Bourne Wed Miss Elaine Babutzke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Babutzke of O Neill, and Paul Bourne of O’Neill, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bourne of Atkinson, were united, in marriage Satur day, November 6, at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in O’Neill. Very Rev. Timothy O’Sullivan said the 9 o’clock nuptial mass and offici ated at the single-ring marriage ceremony. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a waltz length gown with a lace bodice end long tapered sleeves. The bouffant skirt was of net over taf feta with a peplum of net with lace inserts. Her fingertip veil of illusion net edged with lace fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red and white carnations and a gold rosa ry, a gift from the bridegroom. The matron-of-honor was Mrs. Cletus Seaman of Spalding, sister of the bridegroom. Mrs. Seaman wore a waltz-lengti* dress of yel low net and lace over taffeta with a matching bandeau, and she car ried a bouquet of blue and white carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Joan Peters of O’Neill, wore a waltz length gown of blue net over taf feta with a matching bandeau and carried a bouquet of yellow and white carnations. Miss Shirley Ann Babutzke, sis ter of the bride, was flowergirl. She wore a pink orchid dress of net over taffeta with matching head dress and carried a basket of mixed miniature mums. The ring bearer, Jerry Babutzke, brother of the bride, wore a brown suit and carried the ring on a white satin pillow. cieius seaman of Spalding was the bestman and John Bourne of Omaha was groomsman for his brother. James Gallagher, Gene Gillogly, Kenneth McKim and Roger Babutzke ushered. The bride’s mother wore a black and white crepe dress. Her corsage was of red and white car nations. Mrs. Gene Wolfe, organist, ac companied Miss Kay Martin, who pang “Ave Maria,” and Miss San dra Harper singing “Panis Angel ica.” A duet, “On This Day,” was sung by both vocalists. A dinner at the home of the bride’s parents followed for the wedding party, relatives and friends. A reception followed from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m. Mrs. John Bourne of Omaha cut the cake and the Misses Mary and Lorraine Schimtz, LaDonna Mc Nulty, Joann Lansworth and Vio la Closson assisted in serving. Mrs. Charles Bourne of Atkinson was in charge of the guest book. The bride wore a blue suit with black accessories for traveling. Following a trip through the Southern states, the couple will be at home in O’Neill. Mr. Bourne Is employed by the Lohaus Mo tor company. Luben - Brittell Rites at Clearwater A candlelight service Friday, October 29, at the Methodist church in Clearwater united in marriage Miss Lois Jean Luben, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Luben of Clearwater, and Dewey D. Brittell, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brittell of Neligh. The dou ble-ring ceremony was perform ed by Rev. E. L. Brigden, church pastor. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a peacock blue corded moire taffeta street-length dress with black accessories. Her corsage was a bouquet of red roses with a detachable corsage. She also wore rhinestone ear rings, gift from the bridegroom, and carried out the tradition of something old. The matron-of-honor, Mrs. Ar nie Mace, jr., of O’Neill, wore a street-length dress of blue with black accessories. The bestman .was Donald Luben of Clearwater and the ringbearer was Richard Mace of O’Neill. The bride’s mother wore a blue actetate rayon dress and the bridegroom’s mother wore a fuchsia acetate rayon aress. Their corsages were roses. A reception and dinner were held at the home of the bride’s parents following the church ser vice. Mr. and Mrs. Britteli are re siding on a farm northeast of Clearwater. He is associated with his father in farming. Mrs. Britteli was graduated from Clearwater high school and is now teaching in a rural school near Tilden. He was graduated from Chambers high school and served two years with the armed services, 18 months in the Euro pean theater.
