Larson of O’Neill, a daughter, Alison Louise, weighing 6 pounds 5Vi ounces, born Monday, Novem-. ber 1, in St. Anthony’s hospital, O’Neill. SCHMIDT—Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Schmidt of Page, a daughter, weighing 7 pounds 9 1/4 ounces, born Tuesday, November 2, in St. Anthony’s hospital, O’Neill. GREEN—Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green of Grand Island, a daugh ter, Beverly Arm, weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces, born Saturday, November 6. The Greens are for mer Chambers residents. KOLUND—Mr. and Mrs. Clar ence Kolund of Lynch, a daughter, weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces, bom Wednesday, November 3, in Sa cred Heart hospital, Lynch. OSBORN—Mr. and Mrs. Wal lace Osborn of Las Vegas, Nev., a daughter, Cyndy Lynn, weigh ing 9 pounds 7 Vz ounces, born Oc tober 28. Mrs. Osborn is the for mer Miss Dorothy Canaday, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Canaday, formerly of Page. WILSON—Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Wilson of Hot Springs, S. D., a son, Bruce Oran, born Tuesday, October 26, in Hot Springs. Mrs. Wilson is the former Burnita Dierking of Amelia. They have two other sons. Page News Mr. and Mrs. Otto Terrill and Marilyn and Mrs. Alma Tegeler recently drove to Hastings to bring Mrs. Celia Terrill to her home here. She had spent six weeks visiting two sisters at Mc Cook and Sterling, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nissen drove to Ainsworth Friday where they attended funeral services for Rex Eby. The Rex Eby family were former residents of Page. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dobbins were supper guests of their ne phew and niece, John and Faye Brunckhorst of Inman. Mrs. Max Mossman and children of Ains worth and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brunckhorst of Inman were also guests there. Sick & Injured CHAMBERS—Rev. J. M. Hodg kin is a patient at St. Anthony’s hospital. . . Mrs. Alma Farrier recently was admitted to St. An thony’s. . . Mrs. Alfred Maas underwent a major operation at St. Anthony’s on Monday, Novem ber 8. . . Mrs. Wayne Stevens is a patient at St. Anthony’s hospi tal. . . Leo Adams was a patient one day last week in a Grand Island hospital. He suddenly be came ill with ptomaine poisoning. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grimes recently learned that his sister, Mrs. Paul Gaiser of Lincoln, was a patient in Bryan Memorial hospital at Lincoln. . . Mrs. Edith McClenahan injured her hip in a fall recently. She has been stay ing with her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Gibson, at O’Neill. . . Mrs. Wil liam Turner took her mother, Mrs. H. W. Tomlinson of O’Neill, to Lynch on Friday, November 5, for medical care. . . Walt Richards returned Wednesday, November 3, from a Norfolk hospital. His daughter, Mrs. George Hodgson, who had been with him, took him on Sunday to her home at Chug water, Wyo. . . Earl David return ed to the Veterans hospital at Grand Island on Monday, Novem ber 1, for treatments. . . Virgil David was taken to the Veterans hospital in Grand Island on Sun day, November 7, because of a back injury. . . . Mrs. Charles Spath, Mr. and Mrs. George Ful lerton and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spath drove to Grand Island Sun day, November 7, to visit the for mer’s niece, Jill Spath, at St. Francis hospital. The latter had been in a car accident. LYNCH — Jim Lueken son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lueken, suf fered a multiple compound frac ture of the leg in the football game at Spencer Friday, October 29. He is in the Lynch hospital. Lueken is a member of the sen ior class at Lynch high school. . . David Landholm took Ernest Pet ersen to Grand. Island Tuesday, October 26, where Mr. Petersen entered the Veterans hospital. Mr. Petersen had been a patient in the Lynch hospital for several weeks. . . C. A. Bare is reported as “better.” He has been serious ly ill for some time with a heart ailment. . . De Lynn Pickering, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Pickering, got his hand caught between the open car door and a tree, thus bruising and cut ting his hand severely. Local doc tors took five stitches in one finger. . . Mrs. Lillian Baker was taken to Omaha for medical care by specialists. Her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Bjornsen, came from California to be with her. O’NEILL—Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Jones visited Mrs. Enoch Peterson Sunday. She is a patient in the Lincoln General hospital. . . Hen ry Sanders returned to Grand Is land last Thursday where he re entered the Veterans hospital. . . Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wells and Miss Lorene Wetzler visited Burr Faust of Lucas, S.D., Sunday in McKenna hospital at Sioux Falls, S.D. Mr. Faust’s hand was injur ed when he caught it in a corn picker. He lost an index finger. He was released from the hospi tal Monday. INMAN—Miss Barbara Brunck horst of Inman, a polio patient in Sioux Valley hospital at Sioux Falls, S.D., is slowing improving. She is able to take treatments new but is still in the iron lung except for a few hours at a time. PAGE—Mr. and Mrs. William Luben visited her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bow en, Sunday in Page. The mid dle finger was broken and the in dex arid third one crushed. The beaters had to be cut to remove her hand. She was taken to the Neligh hspital where she re mained until Friday. Mrs. Sim mons was formerly Dorothy Socha of O’Neill, who was em ployed in the county clerk’s of k ..= fice for sometime. CELIA — Mrs. Victor Frickel end son, Rodney Dale, came home from the Atkinson Memorial hos pital Saturday. Vickie Frickel stayed at the LeRoy Hoffman home and the boys and Bonnie at the Connie Frickel home while tneir mother was in the hospital. DELOIT — John Tagel was a patient in the Antelope Memorial hospital last week. His condition on Friday was “fairly good.” . . Mrs. Mark Maben took her moth er, Mrs. W. E. Wulf, to a doctor in Norfolk several weeks ago. Mrs. Wulf is “greatly improved.” CELIA—Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heiser and part of their children have been having mumps the past week. INMAN— Mrs. Glen Burge and baby son arrived home Tuesday, November 2, from the Atkinson hospital. RIVERSIDE— Mrs. Daisy Mil ler, Mrs. Melvin Napier, Mrs. Howaf-d Miller and Mrs. Bill Mil ler recently visited Mrs. Edna Lofquest in Antelope Memorial hospital. Mrs. Lofquest was a pa tient there several days last week. She is now at the home of her daughter, Alta Meyer, in Neligh. . . . John Christon of Newport was taken to the Neligh hospital Sunday. He has kin in this com munity. CHAMBERS NEWS Pvt. and Mrs. Milton Grime3 spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Grimes. Pri vate Grimes has completed his basic training at El Paso, Tex. Following a two-weeks’ leave with his wife at Omaha he will go to Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Grimes and family had as guests for dinner Sunday, November 7, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H.
