A covered dish lunch was served. For the opening of the program, the rosary was recited in behalf of all the brothers and sons in service. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. George Pon gratz in November. Members are making quilts and comforters for the needy. The Homemakers’ card party was held at the Joe Babl home on Sunday evening, October 17, with fcur tables of pitch. Other Emmet News The George Skopec family vis ited at the Charles Skopec home at Stuart Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Kee drove to Omaha Saturday to visit their daughter, Mrs. T. H. Hering, and family. Mrs. Hattie Thompson of Portland, Ore., who has been vis iting her brother, John Kee, the past two weeks, accompanied them to Omaha. From there she went on to Arkansas to visit a niece and a sister. Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Kee had not seen each other for 30 years. Mr. and Mrs. Alex McConnell were dinner guests at the Eli Mc Connell home at Atkinson last Thursday. The dinner was given in honor of Mrs. Robert Thomas and son. Mrs. Thomas and son left for their home on Friday morning. They reside at Ft. Collins, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. John Conard took Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Dailey, John Dailey of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. P. W. McGinnis to O’Neill for dinner last Thursday evening. Megan Marie Meier, the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Meier of O’Neill, and Carmen Anne Tenborg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Tenborg of O’ Neill, were baptized Sunday in the Emmet Methodist church by Rev.
