Inman News Mr and Mrs. Donald Wolfe and family of Amelia spent Sunday visiting relatives and friends here. Miss Mary Morsbach returned I---— ■ ' from Neligh Monday. She spent a week visiting in the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Crosser, and sons. Miss Lois Morsbach left Mon day afternoon for Neligh where she will spend a few days visit ing in the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Crosser and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Morsbach and family of Clearwater spent Sunday visiting Mr. Morsbach’s mother. Mrs. Elizabeth Morsbach. Miss Mary Morsbach left Mon day for O’Neill where she will spend a few days visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Miller. Miss Beverly Brittell of O’Neill spent a few days last week visit i ing in the home of Mr. and Mrs. ' Earl Miller. Kay and Tommy Hutton are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Hutton, and Sue . while their ' mother, Mrs. T. G. Hutton, is with her mother, Mrs. Zada Russ, in a Norfolk hospital. The Huttons are making their home at the Yellowstone park 1 this summer where Mr. Hutton ! has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baker and family of Sioux City spent the weekend visiting Mrs. Baker’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd De Long. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore and 1 Mrs. Anna Clark left Thursday for Lincoln where they will spend a couple of weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Moore and family and Harlan Moore. Mr and Mrs. Dick Clark and family and Mrs. Bob Sholes and i daugnters, all of O’Neill, were Sunday callers in the Violet | anoles home. Mr. and Mrs. Vaden Kivett and son, Kieth, left Monday for the Black Hills where they will j spend a week vacationing. A large group of persons at tended the shower for Marilyn Fritton and Thomas Blake Fri day evening at the Lee Blake home north of O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. James Coventry and son. Bill, and Kenneth Smith and son, Bert took Kay Coventry and Beverly Smith to Norfolk Sunday where they continued on to Omaha where they will spend a few days visiting Kay’s sister, Joan Coventry, who is employ ' ed there. Mrs. Ira Watson was hostess to the RNA lodge at her home on Wednesday, August 4. A social time followed the regular lodge session after which Mrs. Watson served refeshments. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Green and two sons of Los Angeles, Calif., spent several days the first of week in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore and Mrs. Anna Clark. Mrs. Kathryn Abbenhaus is spending several days visiting her sister, Mrs. Anna Young, and Charlie. Mrs. Sadie Jefferies re turned to her home at Chambers while Mr. Abbenhaus is helping Mrs. Young. Munn Home Scene of Bergstrom Reunion EWING—A reunion of the Bergstorm family was held Sun day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Munn in north Ewing. Forty-five were in attendance. At 1 o’clock, a picnic dinner was served from, tables set on the well-shaded lawn. The afternoon hours were spent visiting. The younger ones enjoyed ten nis and other games. Other Ewing News The Upper Room club sponsor ed a fellowship dinner at the parlors of the Ewing Methodist church following the morning services. About 30 were in atten dance. Guests were Mrs. Effie Graver of Modesto, Calif., a for mer member and a pioneer of Holt county, and Harvey Tomp kins of Inman, who conducted the worship; also Roger Tomp kins. Mrs. Edna Lofquest, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miller, all of Ewing, accompanied by Mrs. Elsa Wolfe of Erickson, attended the Free Methidist camp meeting held at Ansley over the weekend. McDonald and children went to Vermillion, S.D., on Sunday where they will spend a few days at the home of his parents. S. navy, went to spend the day with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kropp and children left Sunday for a vaca tion trip through the Black Hills. Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs made a business trip to Sioux City on Friday. Mrs. Julius Walter ac companied them home. Coach and Mrs. Richard Lane of Omaha were Sunday guests at the home of Supt. and Mrs. Lewis Carter. Coach Lane will return to the Ewing high school for an other year. The family will make their home in the residntal pro perty owned by Mrs. Martha Hill. Janell Tams is spending the wreek at Bloomfield where she is a guest in the Lester Cary home. John R. Black, U. S. navy, has completed his basic training at San Diego, Calif., and is enjoying a 10-day leave with homefolks. He is the guest of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Doud. John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Black. Mr and Mrs. Carl Noffke and family of Albion were guests at the home of his mother, Mrs. Frank Noffke, sr., and his bro ther, Frank Noffke, jr., and family on Sunday. Miss Jeanette Noff ke, who had been their guest the past two weeks, returned to Ew ing with them. \ Judy Cloyd assisted at the home of Mrs. Sylvester Bahm and Mrs. August Cole a few days last week when threshing crews were served dinner at those homes. Bride-Elect Is Honored at Shower— CHAMBERS—About 50 friends gathered at the parlors of the Bethany Presbyterian church southeast of Chambers on Friday evening, August 6, for a prenup tial shower honoring Miss Mar cella Tomjack. Mrs. Seth Hertel, Mrs. Carl Lambert and Mrs. Stanley Lam bert were in charge of the enter tainment. A program of songs and read ings portrayed Miss Tomjack’s life. A special feature was a pa rade of small girls modeling ex treme hats worn during the years. Guest Here— Mrs. Dickie Femau of Neligh was a Monday guest of Mrs. F. S.
