This is necessary in order to in sure there will be no conflicts with other nearby fairs and cel ebrations and also enables ex hibitors and persons called upon for entertainment to plan accord ingly. This year’s fair is two weeks' earlier than usual. It falls during the busy season in Holt county —one of the principal hay-pro ducing counties in the world. However, the rodeo entertain ment is scheduled under the ’ights at night, enabling a maxi mum number of persons to at tend. Rock Fair Will Run August 6-8— BASSETT — The 34th annual Rock coun*y fair at Bassett will open Friday. August 6, and con tinue through Saturday and Sun day. A large parade has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Satur day. The Bassett band, under the direction of Chester Stockwell, will provide music. Boyd County Fair Opens August 30— SPENCER—Entry day at the Boyd county fair at Spencer is Monday, August 30. A parade at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Septem ber ], will be one of the fair highlights.
