The bride, given in marriage by Don West, wore a white pi que dress trimmed with lace. She chose white accessories and carried white carnations on a wnite prayer book. A blue cotton dress with white accessories was worn by the maid-o£-honor. Her corsage was of white carnations. Stephen Strand was acolyte and Miss Doralee Henderson played the nuptial music. Following a wedding trip to South Dakota the couple will re side on a ranch south of Atkin son. Arrive from California— Mr. and Mrs. Michael David son and family of Culver City, Calif., arrived Monday and will visit for two weeks with his mo ther, Mrs. James Davidson, sr., and other relatives and friends in O’Neill. The btuart club had dealt Atkinson its only league loss. Ainsworth also dropped the Atkinson team in loop competi tion but the game was protested because the winners used players not on their roster. Atkinson won the protest. Roland Everett, who pitched Junior Legion ball last summer, held the Stuart team to two hits in seven innings. Jim Ellenwood twirled the last two innings and did not allow a hit. The Atkinson batsmen were paced by Sonny Retzlaff, Pat Miller and Jack Forristal, who socked a pair of bingles a piece. Everett added another win to his victory string. His season, to tal now is seven victories and no defeats. He has hurled 57 innings allowing only 34 hits. He has fanned 50 hitters. Robert Crosby reported Tuesday that the senate appro priations committee has agreed to i reconsider the requested $450,000 appropriation for construction of a transmission line from Gavins Point dam to Belden. ’ The governor said the word was relayed by Nebraska’s sena tors, Eve Bowring and Sam Rey nolds. “This is our last hope in the present session of congress,” Crosby said, “ and it is particul arly gratifying in view of the unrelenting opposition which blocked a final report for favor able consideration in the House of Representatives.” The governor was told that key members of the state comm ittee have been promised to try to include the Belden line funds in the final supplemental appro priation bill which will be before the senate committee in the next few days. Belden, situated about 70 miles east of O’Neill, is the first strate gic point east of O’Neill in the Nebraska public power grid. Try Frontier want ads! O’Neill Rockets Top Bassett, 5-4 Opponents’ Errors Help Win BASSETT — O’Neill Rockets handed the Bassett town team a 5-4 defeat Sunday on the Bassett diamond. The home team socked eight nits to five for the winners but errors and men left on base spell ed the difference. Batteries: O’Neill — Beringer and Milo; Bassett — L. Fischer and Clark. Bassett now has a pair of wins and a half-dozen defeats. Or chard will play at Bassett today (Thursday). Darel Graham started on the mound for O’Neill and was re lieved by Beringer, who got cred it for the win. Graham struckout cne, yielded seven hits, walked three. Beringer collected two strikeouts, gave up one hit, and issued three walks. Fisher whiffed 10, gave up 10 hits, walked two. O’Neill’s two tallies in the ninth came after two were out.
