They plan to go on to Washington, D. C., to visit their son, W. J. Froe lich, jr., who is stationed there with the navy. Before returning to O’Neill, they also plan to visit their son-in-law and daughter, Lt. and Mrs. J. Robert Berigan and Kittie, at St. Louis, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kurtz were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Kurtz in Long Pine. Mr. and Mrs. Fora Knight and Mrs. Emma Martin spent the past week at Park Rapids, Minn. George McCarthy and daugh ter, Barbara, left Saturday for Alliance where Mr. McCarthy at tended the district initiation and banquet of the Knights of Col umbus held there on Sunday. A large crowd was present on Sunday at the Methodist Sun day-school for the closing pro gram of the Bible school held the previous week. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Doolittle attended a family dinner at the Albert Smith home Sunday. Atkinson Visitors— Mrs. Louis Reimer, jr., and Mrs. W. H Bowker visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Chace in Atkinson Saturday af ternoon. Beth and Bobby Bow ker returned to O’Neill with them. They had spent Friday and Saturday visiting at the Chace home. Mrs. Mabel Henry departed Tuesday by rail for Los Angeles, Calif., where she will visit her sister, Mrs. O. P. Chambers. She will also stop at San Francisco, Calif., and Portland, Ore., before completing her indefinite West coast visit. Newlyweds Honored 1 at Shower— EWING — Mr. and Mrs. Pat Sanders, who have been guests at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders, the past two weeks left Wednes day, June 2, for their home at Oakland, Calif. The newlyweds were given a miscellaneous shower and a farewell party at the Stockmen’s cafe Tuesday evening, June I. About 45 friends and relatives were in attendance. Games were played. The gift packages, ar ranged on the long lunch count er, were opened by the honored guest. Miss Bemadine Sanders had charge of the gift book. Members and friends are invited to attend. Pvt. Richard Kallhoff and Pvt. Lyle Tucker left Tuesday evening, June 1, for their new camps. Floyd Tucker, uncle of Private Tucker, took them to St. Louis, Mo. He returned to Ew ing Saturday after visiting a number of places in Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Schroe der and Mr. and Mrs. James Mlnarik were visitors on Sunday at the home of Mrs. Mlnarik’s uncle, Chris Serr, at Gregory. S.D. Miss Ina Bennet, accompanied her sister, Mrs. Flora Young, and | family to Idaho where she will remain for several weeks with relatives. They left on Friday.
