The rite unit ed in marriage Miss Kathryn Ann Golden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Jerome Gold en of O’Neill, and Capt. Jaimes Thaddeus Butcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Herring of Aus tin, Tex. Very Rev. Timothy O’ Sullivan, pastor of St. Patrick’s church, officiated in the after noon ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz length gown of ivory embroider ed silk tissue faille. Over the bodice she wore a matching fit ted jacket fashioned with a peter pan collar and long tapering sleeves. Her elbow-length illu sion veil was held in place by a half-hat of imported lace. She carried a bouquet of lily of the valley centered with an orchid. The maid-of-honor, Miss Mary Faulhaber, and the junior bridesmaid, Miss Nyla Jaszkow ick, wore identical waltz-length gowns of pink tissue shantung. Their juliet caps were of pink tulle and they carried bouquets cf white daisies. The bridegroom and his at tendants were attired in navy blue suits. Capt. Thomsa John son of Sewart air force base, Tennessee, was groomsman and the ushers were Lt. B. C. Gaus, Lt. Ellis Van Haven and Lt. Jo seph Messina, all of Sewart base. Sister M. Flores was organist and Miss Marde Birmingham was soloist. She sang “Ave Ma ria" and “Just For Today.” Following the wedding cere mony, a reception was held from 2 until 4 o’clock at the Town House. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Marvin Miller, Mrs. R. L. Owens, Miss Kathryn Judge, Mrs. I. J. Kinsman and Miss Lorraine Simonson. For traveling the bride chose a two-piece aqua faille dress with white accessories. After a wedding trip to Texas and Old Mexico, the couple will be at home at Sewart air force base in late June. The bride is a graduate of St. Mary’s academy and until re cently was employed by the O’ Neill National bank. Captain Butcher is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and i3 now serving with the air force. Out-of-town guests present at the wedding and reception were: Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Moon-King Rites Read at O’Neill Miss Alda Mae Moon, daugh :er of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moon if Stuart, and Lenerd Carmen King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thom as King, also of Stuart, were united in marraige Saturday, May 22, at the First Methodist church in O’Neill. Rev. W. B. Smith officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a light grey suit with blue accessories. She carried an orchid centered on a white Bible. The orchid was sent from Hawaii by Rex King, brother of the bridegroom. Miss Karla King of Stuart, sister of the bridegroom, was maid-of-honor, and Keith King, brother of the bridegroom, was bestman. A dinner for the couple, wed ding party and 21 guests was given at the home of the bride’s parents following the nuptial ceremony. The wedding cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Elizabeth Driskill, aunt of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. King will live in Milford, where Mr. King is a student at the Milford trade school. Clothing for Orphanage Used in Roll Call— The Victory Homemakers ciud held its May meeting at the home of Mrs. Ray Schaaf. Thir teen members answered roll call with a piece of children’s clo thing for the orphanage. Games were played with prizes going to Mrs. Joe Ramold, jr., and Ellen Havranek. Guests were Mrs. Ray Richards, Mrs. Elmer Schaaf, Mrs. Joe Ramold, jr.. and Mrs. George Ramold. Next meeting will be with Mrs. Ray Conway on June 8. A card party was held the fol lowing Sunday night with six tables of progressive pitch play ed. High scores went to Mrs. Cyril Peter and Eddie Tunender. Sibert of Lincoln has been named secretary-manager of the Sandhills Cattle associa tion to succeed Robert Hamilton of Valentine, who will take a position in June with the Live stock National bank of Chicago, 111. Sibert for 18 months has been assistant state 4-H club leader. Monday evening, Fred Evans of Meadow Grove was honored by the Commercial club for 50 years of business there. His son, Robert Evans, accompanied by Mrs. Evans and Mr. and Mis. William McIntosh, attended the dinner given by the club at Meadow Grove. Mrs. F. J. Roach of Omaha and Mrs. j. L. Guinan of Mission I Valley, la., returned to their homes on Thursday, May 20, af er a two week visit with their sister, Mrs. A1 Sauser, and Mr. Sauser.
