Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sulli van of Wayne, Miss Peggy Sul livan of Omaha and Miss Nan Sullivan of Omaha will spend the weekend visiting their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Sullivan. ★ ★ ★ Scouts Plant Trees During Camporee ATKINSON — Scouts from Jamison, Stuart, Omaha, Atkin son and O'Neill participated in a conservation camporee held at the Atkinson state park Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This conservation camporee was held in conjunction with a request by the president of the United States for the Boy Scouts of America to have conservation as this year’s theme. C. R. (“Bob”) Hill and Harold Young, of the Holt county soil conservation district, presented a talk and demonstration on soil conservation. The Scouts plant-c ed over 150 trees and bushes under the direction of Mr. Hill and Mr. Young at the park site. 11 Scout troop 214 of Jamison re ceived a blue ribbon for having the highest number of points. Troop 180 of Atkinson and troop 71 of Omaha also received a blue ribbon. Troop 210 of O’Neill and troop 182 of Stuart received rib bons for participation in the camporee. The ribbons were pre sented to the troops by Don Ly-. ons of O’Neill, who is the north central district commissioner. The Atkinson Scouts gathered and hauled in two truckload^ of ■ fire wood for the camporee. Mr. and Mrs. William Schoor of Wayne, Mr. and Mrs. R. K.
