ceived word that Gordon Finley
of Los Angeles, Calif., had suf
fered a relapse and was in the
hospital. Gordon submitted to
surgery about two months ago
for stomach ulcers and has nev
er improved as he should. His
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert iin
ley, have been with him for
about a month. . . Mr. and Mrs.
N. D. Ickes report that their
son, Millard, at Caldwell, [da.,
doesn’t improve as he should.
He has been ill since January 1.

Randy’s Birthday
EWING—Randy Rockey, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rockey,
celebrated first first birthday
anniversary on April 1. At 4
o’clock a group of children was
invited to the Rockey home in
honor of the occasion. Ice cream
and cake were served. Mrs.
Rockey baked and decorated the
birthday cake — eight railway
cars pulled by a chocolate en
gine — which made a very at
tractive centerpiece.
Movies were taken of the af
ternoon activities, which includ
ed Randy taking his first steps
alone among the gifts he receiv
ed.

and her cousin, Tommy Brogart
