SICK AND INJURED AMELIA—Mrs. Bertha Sam mons went to Omaha Monday to consult an eye specialist. It was erroneously stated last week that she accompanied Mr. and Mrs Lawrence Barnett. . . Mr. and Mrs. Andersen and son, Lloyd, returned to their home at Alda after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Andersen. Mr. Andersen was able to return home from the Atkinson hospital on Friday, after being a patient there the past three weeks. . . Mr. and Mrs. Link Sageser re ceived word Tuesday, February 9, that Dode Sageser, brother of Link Sageser, had suffered a se vere stroke. His home is at Scdro Woolley, Wash. . . Glenn White drove to Omaha Monday, accom panied by Rev. and Mrs. Albert Luginsland and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ragland. Reverend Luginsland and Mr: Ragland went for med ical checkups. . . Mrs. Edgar Jungman has been in Omaha re cently for a medical checkup.. . Little Sandra Tesch, granddaugn ter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Doolittle, entered a hospital in Omaha on Sunday. Mrs. Elizabeth Cullen has been quite ill at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Heiss. . . Mrs. Rol lie Snell is improving after an illness of five weeks. She was fined to her bed because oi arthritis in her back. . . Mrs. W. E. Wanser, who had been in the hospital about two weeks, return ed to her home here Wednesday, Fbruary 10. O'NEILL—Mrs. James Harding and daughter returned to Loves Park, 111., Sunday night. Her fa ther, Dave Bellar, is seriously ill. Arthur Bellar is returning to Oakland, Calif., after spending 10 days with his folks. . . Mr and Mrs. Tony Asimus went to Ro chester, Minn., Tuesday for med ical attention. . . Miss Mary Lou ise (“Lou”) Birmingham, who is with the American Red Cross in the Far East, has been released from a military hospital, where she had been confined several days. . . Mr. and Mrs. John Schmit were called to Valentine Monday evening due to the ser ious illness of Mr. Schmifs fa EWING—Otto Lorenz, who has been an invalid for 25 years and bedfast for 19 years, was taken early Monday morning by ambu lance to St. Anthony’s hospital at O’Neill. His condition requires hospitalization. . . Dewitt Gunter came home Sunday from the Methodist hospital at Sioux City, where he recently underwent surgery. . . Herbert Kirschmier, who has been a patient at the Veterans hospital at Grand Is land the past month, came home last Thursday. His condition is very much improved. . . Beverly Eotherham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rotherham, is still confined to her home and under a doctor’s care after a relapse from a throat infection which she suffered several weeks ago. STUART—Becky Moses, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mos es, has been fitted with a brace and is getting along_nicely at Immanuel Lutheran hospital in Omaha where she underwent surgery on February 1. . . Mrs. Ward Flanigan underwent sur gery at St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester, Minn., Monday, Feb ruary 15, where she has been a patient the past five days. . . Mrs. James Allyn Jias been dismissed from Atkinson Memorial hospital following surgery and is conva lescing at the home of her sistei, Mrs. Winifred Stech, in Atkinson. INMAN—Mrs. Lottie Thompson returned from St. Anthony’s hos pital in O’Neill Wednesday, Feb ruary 10, after receiving med ical attention there several days. . . . Mrs. Howard Jackson and infant son, Billy Wayne, return ed home Sunday from St. An thony’s hospital. . . Mrs. Anna Ferris was taken, to the O’Neill hospital Sunday evening. She became ill attending church ser vices. DELOIT—Roy Johnson of Ne ligh underwent surgery at the Neligh hospital Friday. . . Mr. and Mrs. Ted Twiss made a trip to Savannah, Mo., recently, where Mrs. Twiss underwent a checkup with favorable reports. . . Mrs. Ludwig Koenig has been a pa tient at the hospital in Neligh. .. Art Johnson is convalescing at his home southwest of Clearwa ter. ATKINSON—Mrs. Ray Verzal is “getting better’’ after her op eration. Her mother, Mrs. E. F. Quinn of O’Neill, has been with her. LYNCH— Mr. and Mrs. fien Mahlendorf of Butte visited their daughter, Karen, at the Sacred Heart hospital at Lynch last Thursday. . . Mrs. Evelyn Cam eron of Niobrara called on her mother, Mrs. Jack Pritchett, at the local hospital Sunday. RIVERSIDE— Melvin Gunter brought his father, DeWiet, homt Sunday. Mr. Gunter is able to be arounr the house for short periods in a wheel chair.
