Penney company, na tionwide department siore or ganization with a store at O’Neill, announced this week that its di rectors have authorized a special year-end payment for more than 50,000 associates in the company’s 1,633 stores, offices and ware nouses throughout the United States. The payment will be an amount equal to two weeks’ pay for all full-time associates who have been employed for the full year 1953, and proportionate amounts for extra and part-time associates and those employed less than a year. All Penney associates will share in the payment except management staff members whose earnings are determined largely by the company’s long standing profit-sharing plan. It will be made December 15 at each associate’s December 15 rate of pay.
