Bonnie and Loretta . • . visit Assembly of God. -XXX Church Names Building Committee The official board of First Methodist church met at the church Monday, November 9, to transact routine and special bus iness. During the course' of the meeting, a committee was elected to head the forthcoming campaign for funds to wreck ine present church building and rebuild in tile and brick. The goal for the enterprise, as fixed by the official board of which R. V. Kurtz is chairman, is $40,000. Fund raising will be gin as soon as all the necessary arrangements have been made. The building finance committee is composed of John Watson, Ray Eby, Neil Dawes, Grant Peacock, Mrs.Tony Asimus and Mrs. Murel McClure. Collecting Toys for Indian Mission The Altar society of St Pat rick’s Catholic church is sponsor ing a toy collection for used toys or any articles suitable for gifts for children. Evelyn Weichman, Marvin Johnson Wed STUART— St. Boniface Cath olic church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, Nov ember 14, when Miss Evelyn Weichman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Weichman of Stuart, was united in marriage with Mar, vin Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson, of Stuart. The double-ring ceremony was performed toy Rev. A. J. Paschang at 9 a. m. The men’s choir with Sister Vera at the organ sang the nuptial high mass. The bride's gown was fashion ed of white slipper satin. The fitted bodice had a yoke of lace trimmed with rhinestones and there were lace inserts in the skirt which was finished with a five yard train. Her shoulder length veil was held in place by a pearl beaded tiara and she carried a bouquet of red carna tions. Mrs. Glen Cadwallader served her sister as matron-of-honor and wore a floor-length gown of gold brocaded taffeta while the brides maid. Miss Neva Johnson, sister of the bridegroom, wore a gown of green brocaded taffeta. Both gowns were fashioned similar to that of the bride. They wore matching head pieces and carried bouquets of chrysanthemums. K.atnryn weichman, sister oi the bride, and Dorothy Johnson, sister of the bridegroom, were flowergirls and wore blue taffeta dresses with net over skirts. The dresses for the bridal party were fashioned by the bridegroom’s mother. Glen Cadwallader, brother-in law of the bride, was bestman and James Hoffman, friend of the bride and bridegroom, was an attendant. The ushers were Ernest Arm strong of Gordon, friend of the bridegroom and Don Wgwel, cousin of the bride. The wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party at the home of the bride’s parents and at 12:30 the wedding dinner was served also at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride’s table was decorated in green and gold and was cen tered by a three-tier wedding cake baked by the bride’s mother. The couple gave a dance for their relatives and friends at the auditorium that evening. The bride’s traveling attire was blue satin with black accessories and their wedding trip will in clude Rushville and Hot Springs, S. D. Mrs. Johnson is a graduate of Stuart high school class of 1952 and Mr. Johnson attended school at Rushville. The couple will reside in Stuart where the bridegroom is employ ed by Mark Nelson as a truck driver. James Runnalls attended a meeting of the Holt county town teachers Thursday evening at the O’Neill high school. Dr. Floyd Miller of the state department of Dublic instruction conducted the meeting. Superintendent Runnalls was elected treasurer of the group. The Anniversary club surpris ed Mr. and Mrs. Chester Youngs Monday evening at their country home. Cards furnished the eve ning’s entertainment. The self invited guests served lunch at a late hour and the honored couple was presented a gift.
