The Harold Gilman family has
a new car.
The Woman’s Society of Chris
tian Service will show films at
the Amelia school on Tuesdav,
October 13, at 8 o’clock. The
films will "be on “Russia and the
United Nations.” Lunch will be
served and each member is ask
ed to bring 12 sandwiches.

home Wednesday, September 30,
from several weeks’ visit with
her daughter, Mrs. Frank Brad
dock, at Castle Rock, S.D., and

Sageser. On last Thursday eve
ning they were supper guests at
B. W. Waldo’s. Mr. and Mrs. Bra
ber now reside in Byers, Colo.,
near their son, Lyle. Their
youngest son is in Korea and the
other son is home with his par
ents.

of Hay Springs, accompanied by
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gilman, at
tended the Ak-Sar-Ben in Om
aha on the weekend. Mrs. Pi
sacka and Mrs. Gilman are sis

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nissen
drove to Creighton Sunday
where they called on an old
friend, Albert Bertsinger, who is
an invalid. From there they went
to Plainview where they visited
in the afternoon with old neigh
! bors, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lortz.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Farnsworth
of Las Vegas, Nev., came Monday
to visit the former’s brother, E.
H. Farnsworth, and Mrs. Farns
worth.
Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorensen,
sr., left Friday for Long Pine
where they were overnight
guests at the Eddie Connery
home. On Saturday morning they
were joined there by Clayton
Mesner and daughter, Eleta Rae,
of O’Neill and they drove to Ve
tal, S.D., where they visited w7ch
Mr. and Mrs. Will Hicks until
Monday. On their return home
Monday they were supper guests
of Mrs. Connery at Long Pine.
Mrs. Hicks is a sister of Mrs.
Mesner and an aunt of Mrs. Sor
ensen.
The Improvement club met
Monday evening with Mrs. Otto
Matschullat with 18 members
present and two guests, Mrs. Les
ter Riege and Mrs. Mable Davis,
both former members. Mrs. Davis
rejoined the club. The theater
and park were discussed at the
business meeting. Lunch was
served by the hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nissen
returned home Wednesday, Sep
tember 30, from visiting relatives
at Ogallala, Sidney and Mitcnell,
and at Denver, Colo. While at
Denver they were called back to
Sidney to slay at the home of
their son, Milton, and care for
the children while Mr. and Mrs.
. Milton Nissen went to Pacific
Grove, Calif., to attend the fu
neral of Mrs. Nissen’s mother.

Townsend and her house guests,
Mrs. Jessie Swain of Rapid City,
S.D., and Mrs. Nona Rew of
Osage, Wyo., drove to Pierce on
Sunday where they were dinner
guests of Mrs. Minnie Haynes.

Townsend of Columbus and were
guests of the Frank dimeter's.
