750 Head of Cattle Expected
• There'll be around 750 head of cattle, including 250 head
of yearlings, at today's sale. Consigned are a load of good
black yearlings and 55 head of good Hereford yearlings, all of
one brand. Fifty head of top two-year-old steers, weighing about
950 pounds, will be consigned to today's sale. There'll be 30 head
of choice yearling heifers, an outstanding load, weighing about
550 pounds. The balance of the cattle will be mixed loads of
stockers, feeders, butcher cattle and a few calves.
• There'll be around 400 head of hogs, including about 150
feeder pigs.

2 Hurt in Accident
Three air force men enroute through O’
Neill to their base at Rapid City, S.D., figured
in a two-car collision which took place about 4
o’clock Monday afternoon at the junction of
U.S. highways 20-275 and state highway 105.
Their westbound late-model Buick car collided
with a machine driven by Robert Knepper, 19,
of O’Neill. The driver, A/3c Joseph F. Mont
gomery received facial cuts and A/lc John
E. Harris bruised his knee. A third passenger
in Montgomery’s machine, A/2c David Van
Vleck, was unhurt. Knepper also was unhurt.
