Phillis and Dale attended the
Wayne fair Friday. They were
especially interested in the club
calves as one on exhibit has be
longed to Phillis Fullerton and
was purchased from her at a
private sale by a Wayne youth.
The calf won a blue ribbon. The
same person also bought Don
Fullerton’s club calf but it de
veloped a case of foot rot prior
to the fair and could not be ex
hibited. Other calves purchased
from this vicinity were also ex
hibited and won ribbons.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson and
son visited at the parental Ray
Anderson home over the week
end.
Mrs. Lawrence Barnett return
ed home Friday evening from
Lincoln where she had attended
a meeting of the Women’s Society
of Christian Service.
Mrs. Vern Sageser is attending
a club meeting in Boston, Mass.
The man for whom Harve
Weeks, a former Amelia resident,
works was visiting in Amelia last
week. Harve has been working
for him the past eight years on
a thorobred cattie ranch at Mer
sailles, Mo.
Janice Prewitt and Caroline

school in Atkinson where; they
are juniors. Janice is staying at
the Sloan home and Caroline is
staying with her aunt, Mrs. Em
ma McKathnie. Donald Adams
is attending school in O’Neill and
staying with his aunt, Mrs. Tom
Murray.

guests Sunday at Clyde Burges,

Sally, returned Friday from a
vacation in Missouri and Arkan

home. Mrs. Mary Sawyer is Mrs.
Fix’s and Mr. Sawyer’s mother.
