Eiamet School Opens September 7 EMMET — Emmet district 20 school will open Monday, Sep tember 7. Miss Helen Martens will be the teacher. Shower Honoree— EMMET—Miss Ruby Kloppen bor i was honored at a miscel lan 'ms shower Wednesday eve ning. August 12, at the Methodist church parlors. Miss Leona Beck with conducted games for the evening's entertainment. Fifty - guests were present. Lunch was served. Miss Kloppenborg will marry Norman Wayman August 29 in a ceremony at the Methodist church in O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Kirkpat rick and son of O’Neill were last Thursday evening visitors at. the Frank Foreman home. Misses Mary Lou Foreman and Leona Fern Beckwith were last Thursday visitors of Mrs. Robert Fox and Mrs. Wagnon. Mrs. W. P. Dailey of O’Neill spent Friday evening visiting Mrs. Agnes Gaffney. Mrs. Georgiana McGinnis, Mrs. John Conard and Mary Lou left Monday for Lincoln where they spent a day, then drove to Ne braska City to visit for a few days with Mrs. Mary Mullen, a sister-in-law of Mrs. McGinnis. The men froze ice cream while the ladies arranged the evening meal.
