Internationally Famed
Magician, Acrobats
to Appear at Fair
The Holt county fair, which has
a reputation for providing first
class, wholesome entertainment
for its thousands of visitors each
year, will present during the 1953
exhibition probably the finest
array of grandstand talent ever
assembled in the county.
Secretary Edwin Wink said:
“I think we’re very fortunate in
securing the services of V-Roy
and Co., Lew Fine and Jeanie,
Mary Jane Truax, and others.
We put in our bids early and
through some close work with
booking agencies we’ve signed up
truly fine grandstand entertain
ers. We’re proud of the lineup and
we know the Holt fairgoers will
be pleased.”
Heading the list of grandstand
performers is the master of mys
teries, V-Roy and Co.
V-Roy is an internationally
famous magican who will keep
his grandstand audience in sus
pense and mystery from start
to-finish as he features a trunk
escape, broom suspension, vanish
ing radio, live doves, live ducks,
live rabbits, an attractive girl
assistant and an elaborate ward
robe.
V-Jtoy’s principal act will be
entitled, “ A Television Feature.”
Lew Fine and Jeanie bring to
their enthusiastic audiences
everywhere memorable fun and
laughter. Fine is a comedy “em
cee” propped with electric vibes,
dancing, whistling, singing im
personations and good, clean en
tertainment that will tickle the
young and old. Lew and his com
panion. Jeanie, are known from
coast - to - coast and their hit,
entitled “This Ain’t the Army,”
has the audience in stitches from
the moment Fine comes on stage.
Mary Jane Truax comes to the
Holt fair billed as “the gal with
the acrobatics and fire batons.”
She will amaze her audiencte with
her feats atop three terraced high
tables. Miss Truax was Minne
sota’s baton twirling champion
for two seasons and now features
this same routine in double fire
batons on a completely blacked
out stage.
Several Holt countyans who
have seen her perform on metro
politan stages label her work as
“truly spectacular.”
The Cup - Ups, a 3 - p i e c e
musical organization, will provide
pleasant listening for fairgoers
during the course of the grand
stand entertainment.
The grandstand acts are sched
uled for Thursday and Friday
evenings, starting at 8 p m. There
will be a complete show both
nights.

“We are certainly happy to
hold th. Nebraska Hereford show
