Ewing News o ~ Mrs. Mamie Anderson of Ains worth was an overnight guest at the Mrs. Alice Crellin home on Monday. She left by bus on Tuesday for West Point where » she .will visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tams and family drove to Atkinson on Sunday to spend the day with friends and neighbors. Rev. J. Donald Butler of Princeton, N. J., was the guest minister who conducted the worship hour at the United Presbyterian church on Sunday. Rev. W. J. Bomer, pastor, is halving a month’s vacation. Mr. and Mrs. John Shiffbauer and 'son, Tom, spent Sunday, Ju5y 19, at Lake Andes, S. D., where they were guests at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Daggett. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd West of Ewing spent Sunday visiting with Mr. West’s grandmother, Mrs. George Lewis, and his aunt, Mias Louella Lewis. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd West of Creighton. Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd West were Mr. and Mrs. Gus Perlensein, Mr and Mrs. Logan Thoene and clfildien, all from Bonesteel, S. D. Mrs. Thoene is a sister of Mrs. West. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tuttle had as their dinner guests on Sunday his brother and sister-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tuttle and family, and Mr. Tuttle’s mother, Mrs. Hannah Tattle, all of Ewing. Miss Fem Pruden returned home Friday from Wayne where she was the guest of Mrs. Buford Carlson who is attending Wayne State Teachers college this sum mer.. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Waller and family were Mr. and Mrs. Mick McKay and children of Atkin son. Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder and family were Mr. Schroeder’s mother, Mrs. Eva Schroeder of Bonesteel, S. D., and Ella Schroe der and Mary Jane Lewis, both from California. Mrs. Schroeder remained for several days visit, and the other ladies went on to Springfield to attend a religious school. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schroeder of Bonesteel, S. D., were guests on Monday, July 20, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder and family. Mrs. Eva Schroeder, a guest at the Herman Schroeder family, accompanied them home. Mrs. Agnes Versaw of Los An geles, Calif., is a guest this week at the home of Mrs. Josie Ver saw. Mrs. Agnes Versaw is a former resident of Ewing. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bergstrom from Wyoming was calling on friends and relatives over the weekend in Ewing and Page. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bergstrom of Newcastle, Wyo., were 6 o’ clock dinner guests on Saturday evening at the home of his bro ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bergstrom. Mrs. Ruth Meekly of Iowa City, la., arrived Tuesday, July 21, to spend her vacation with her son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Bomer and sons. Mr. ana Mrs. jonn wunner re turned home Wednesday, July 22, from Stanton where they had been overnight guests at the home of relatives. Mrs, Fred Maben and her daughter, Nettalee, and Bonnie Thramer brought their guest, Miss Bonnie Jo Jefferies, home on Wednesday, July 22, and re mained to spend the afternoon at the Jefferies home. Sherry Daniels is spending the week with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Muff, and family at O’Neill. Dr. and Mrs. L. R. Suttcliffe, Mrs. Wilda Carr and family were 6 o’clock dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Waller on Tuesday, July 21. The Misses Mary Alys and Sandra Dierks and Geraldine Baker drove to Brunswick last Thursday to spend the day with Miss Margaret Meuret. Mr. and Mrs. Durward Lough rey and children attended the Schwager reunion on Sunday | which was held at the Riverside park at Neligh. Relatives attend ed from Orchard, Grand Island, Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Durward Lough rey and children went to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schwager at Orchard on Friday evening, where they joined the family in celebrating Mr. Schwager’s birthday anni versary. The Past Matrons club and Star Kensington were entertained on Friday afternoon at the country home of Mrs. Frank Schmidt. Eleven members were present. After the business session they enjoyed a social hour. Refresh ments were served. Mrs. Sis Eb and Mrs. M. B. Huffman furnish bengaard, Mrs. Wilbur Bennett ed transportation. Mrs. Inez Burch, who has been visiting her nephew, Jack Spitt ler and family at Columbus, O., arrived in Ewing this week and is a guest at the home of J. B. Spittler. Mrs. Burch is enroute to her home at Chandler, Ariz. O’Neill News Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Melena recently returned from a week s visit with Mrs. Melena s relatives in Searles, N.D., on the Canadian boundary. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Verzal visited at the Natchel Rzeszotar ski home near Atkinson Sunday. Their son, Skipper, who spent the week at the Rzeszotarski farm, returned with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Willm of Lincoln spent the weekend with Walter, and family. Rose Marie their daughter, Mrs. Martin and Sharon Walter went back to Lincoln with them for a week’s vacation. W. j Keeney, and family. The Keeneys had been visiting here and Mrs. Minahan accompanied them on their return. They stopped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank O’ Malley at Grand Prairie, Tex.
