Club in Session—
The Justa club met at the
home of Mrs. Don Petersen on
Wednesday evening. Cards were
played after the business meet
ing and late refreshments were
served.
Picnic Held—
The Methodist Wesleyan ser
vice guild held a picnic Monday
evening at Ford’s park. The bus
iness meeting and program were
at the church later in the eve
ning.
Richard Fees
Takes Bride
CHAMBERS — Miss Merriel
Mickelsen of San Francisco,
Calif., became the bride of Rich
ard Fees of Chambers at a quiet
wedding Saturday, July 18, at
St. Paul’s Lutheran church in
Chambers.
The pastor, Rev. C. D. Ankney,
performed the ceremony. Only
the immediate family and a
friend, Jack Shoop of Los Ange
les, Calif., were present. The
couple was attended bv Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Farrier of Los Ange
les, brother-in-law and sister of
the bridegroom.
The bride appeared in a navy
blue linen ensemble. She wore a
white rose corsage. Mrs. Farrier
wore a pink street-length dress.
Both used white accessories. Mrs.
Myrtle Fees, mother of the bride
groom, chose navy blue for the
occasion.
Both the bridegroom and his
attendant, Robert Farrier, wore
tan suits.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mickelsen
of St. Paul, Minn. She attended
the University of Minnesota at
Minneapolis for one year. The
past year she has been employed
at the U.S> Electric Motors in
Los Angeles.
Mr. Fees is a graduate of the
Chambers high school.
He has a general repair busi
ness in Chambers. They took a
short trip to Grand Island, Brad
shaw and Lincoln where they
visited relatives. They will make
their home here.
Mr. and Mrs George Padrnos
and daughter, Patricia, of Lake
Andes, S.D., were Thursday and
Friday visitors of Mr. and Mrs.
Don Petersen. Mrs. Petersen is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Padr
nos.
Dailey - Rossman
Nuptials Read
Miss Betty Louise Dailey,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A.
Dailey of O’Neill, became the
bride of LeRoy Rossman, son of
Mrs. Gertrude Rossman of Atkin
son, at a double-ring ceremony
Sunday afternoon in the Metho
dist church here. Rev. Wallace
B. Smith officiated at the 2 o’
clock ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a monastery
white gown fashioned of nylon
tulle and Chantilly flounce lace.
A sculptured tulle bodice empha
sized an off-the-shoulder effect
with a wide lace flounce appli
qued, bertha style, to a tulle
yoke. Long fitted sleeves form
ed bridal points over the wrist.
The bouffant tulle skirt was join
ed to the waistline with a peplum
of the lace which continued down
either side, front and back, form
ing a panel which ran the entire
border of the chapel train. A
crown of pearls held her finger
tip veil of nylon tulle and Chan
tilly flounce lace. The bridal
bouquet was of white and orchid
carnations.
Miss Lila Dailey, sister of the
bride, was maid-of-honor. She
wore a floor-length gown of lav
ender nylon tulle over satin.
White daisies and yellow carna
tions formed her bouquet.
The bridegroom was attended I
by his brother, William Rossman.
They wore dark blue business
suits. The ushers were Rex Stow
ell and Arvid Erb.
The bride’s mother chose a
navy blue dress with white ac
cessories. Each had a white car
nation corsage.
Miss Elaine Harshfield, accom
panied by Miss Onie MClurg,
both of Atkinson, sang “I Love
You Truly” and “Always.”
Miss Shirley Brittell was in
charge of the guest book. The
Misses Beverly Norman, Mary I
Graham and Patty Carson were
in charge of the gifts. I
After the ceremony a reception
for 120 guests was held at the I
Town House. The four-tier wed
ding cake, topped by a miniature
bride and bridegroom, was cut
by Mrs. Donald Clyde, aunt of
the bride. Mrs. Charles Lawrence
poured.
For her going-away costume
Mrs. Rossman chose a nylon
dress with lavender flowers on
white, with white accessories.
Mrs. Rossman is a graduate of
the O’Neill public school with
the 1951 class. Mr. Rossman is
a graduate of the Atkinson pub
lic school and is now with the
navy, stationed at San Francisco,
Calif., where the young couple
will make their home after a two
weeks honeymoon in the South
western states.

ROTC camp at Webb air force
