Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schneider and daughters were Sunday visitors at the Marvin Anderson home. Mr. and Mrs. Durven Kipple and family and Mr. and Mrs. William Foree and son, Mike, went to Hidden Paradise at Long Pine for a picnic Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Psotta of Pil ger were Thursday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clements. Dr. and Mrs. Keith Vincent and son, Mark, of Omaha visited rel atives in OlNeill from July 14 until July 20. Mi-s. Donald Estenson left Tues day morning for Colman, S. D., where she plans to spend a week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ungers. She was accompanied by Miss Charlotte Estenson. Mr. and Mrs. Valance Klus mann and sons of New Salem, N.D., returned to their home on Sunday after spending the week at the Mike Thiel home. Thiel family of O’Neill, returning to their home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McKenzie, sr., of Lynch were Saturday visit ors at the Clyde McKenzie, jr., home. Douglas McKenzie return ed with his grandparents for a week’s visit. PAGE NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Aden Riggs of Elcereto, Calif., were dinner guests last Thursday evening of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Townsend. All members of the Just-a Mere club enjoyed a picnic sup per in the Page park Friday eve ning. A group of relatives met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Carson Sunday where they en joved a no-host dinner honoring the birthday anniversary of W. E Snyder. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Sick & Injured PAGE—Mrs. C. C. Grant of Fremont, formerly of Page, is in the University hospital, Omaha. The Grants moved to Fremont the middle of April. Their small son, Clyde, is staying with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr and Mrs. L. E. Peregoy of Grand Island. . . Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Cullen returned home Saturday evening from Savannah, Mo., where she had been for a medical checkup. . . Relatives at Page have received word that Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stewart of Burwell are spending a week going through a clinic at Omaha. They are stay in at Ralston with Mr. Stewart’s brother, Ivan Stewart, and fam ily. . . Mr. and Mrs. Carl Max and family left for Omaha Satur day morning where they took their young son for medical care. He will have the old casts on his legs replaced with new ones. Mr. Max returned home but Mrs. Max and children will remain in Omaha until their son is dismiss ed from the hospital. They are visiting with Mr. Max’s relatives. O’NEILL—Miss Linda John son broke her leg at the Saddle club meeting Tuesday evening. She is at St. Anthony’s hospital. .. . Gene Streeter and Mrs. Clyde Streeter went to Lincoln Thurs day to have a cast removed from Gene’s leg. They returned Fri day. . . While fixing his combine Monday, John Dick fell and cut his leg severely on the combine. Several stitches had to be taken. . . . Mrs. Roy Lanman has been ill at her home this week. . . Miss May McGowan, who is suf fering with a heart ailment, was taken to the Sacred Heart hos pital in Lynch Tuesday afternor.. . . . Mrs. Eugene Van Every en tered Immanuel hospital, Omaha, Tuesday, where she underwent an eye operation on Wednesday. She will becon fined there sev eral days. . . Very Rev. Timothy O’Sullivan departed Sunday for Chicago, 111., to visit his older brother, James, 69, who submit ted to surgery two months ago. EWING—Mrs. Clarence Schmi ser and small son, Michael, re turned home Saturday from Om aha where they had spent the week while Michael was receiv ing treatment for asthma. . . . Andy Clausson, who injured a finger in a car door about three weeks ago, is still making trips to Neligh for care of the injury. CHAMBERS—R. K. Platt re turned to the Methodist hospital in Sioux City Tuesday, July 21, for a checkup following his re cent operation. ROCK FALLS—Fred Ernst en tered St. Anthony’s hospital for treatment Saturday. The length of his stay there is not yet def inite. DELOIT—Mrs. George Schiff bauer was a patient at the Neligh hospital last week. Her condition is good. Voorhies Family Reunites at Neligh The seven sons and daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Voorhies of Orchard, together with their families, held an an ual reunion Sunday, July 19, at Riverside park, Neligh. i The eldest son, W. R. Voorhies, and his wife of Olympia, Wash., were unable to be present. There were 58 members and three visitors present and 48 members were not present. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Curtis, Mr and Mrs. R. E. Troutman and Mr. and Mrs. Fremont Curtis and son, all of Royal; Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Voorhies and Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Miller, all of Neligh; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. At the close of the afternoon ice cream and cakes were served. A ribbon cake was baked by Mrs. G. W. Miller commemorat in the wedding anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. R. A. McManigal, also birthday anniversaries of Mrs. K. W. Miller, Mrs. R. A. McManigal, George Voorhies, Beverly Miller and Kathie Voor hies. The reunion will be held on or near the same date next year.
