O'NEILL DRIVE-IN Sponsored by the Ministerial Association of O’Neill Services will be held at the O’Neill drive-in theater again next Sunday at 8 a.m., unless the weather is rainy. Reverend Lee will show color ed pictures of Alaska at the church Tuesday evening, June 16, at 8:30 p.m. 50 Enrolled in Methodist School ATKINSON— Vacation Bible school opened Monday, June 8, at the Methodist church. Over 50 students were present for the opening day. Teachers are: Vivian Lemmer, Helen Martens, Mrs. Herman Shrader and Mrs. R. W. Streit weiser. Helpers are Betty Coxbill, Lois Puckett, Carol Schultz and De Marus Wefso. The Bible school classes will close with a program by the stu dents on Friday night. Bible camp will be held as formerly in July at the camp grounds north of Stuart in the Cleveland vicinity. St. Peter's Vacation School Starts EWING—The annual religious vacation school opened at St. Peter’s Catholic-Church on Man day June 8 for 73 school children. Mass offered by the pastor Rev. Peter Burke, was the opening function. Instructors are Sister Antonella, Sister Lucy and Sister Seraphica from St. Mary’s acad emy of O’Neill. Mrs. Ray Funk is assisting the nuns. Christian doctrine to the capacities of the respective classes and Bible his tory comprise subject matter. The instructions will continue for two weeks.' CHURCH OF CHRIST (O'Neill) Corner of Sixth and Grant John Thomas, minister Bible school, 10 a m.; commun ion and preaching, 11 a.m. The morning message will be, “The World’s Greatest Blessing and Its Greatest Evil.” Youth meet ing at 7 p.m. Evening worship at 8 o’clock. The evening mes sage will be, “The Perfect in Christ.” Our special series of gospel clinic services will begin on Monday night at 8 o’clock and will continue each night except Saturday through June 28. The evangelist for these services will be Roy A. Coop, whose love and respect for God’s Word will be exemplified in each dynamic message he brings. Mrs. Coop will be the song leader and ma rimba-xylophone artist at each service. There will be special music each night. Contemporary with the first week of the gospel clinic will be our vacation Bible school. Miss es Barbara Bennett and Darlene Ameson, students of Minnesota Bible college, will direct the va cation Bible school, being assist ed by Mrs. Coop and Mrs. Paul ine Leise. There will be classes for children from age 4 to 16, 9 a.m., to 3 p.m. Children from the country should bring their lunch. There will be special clos ing exercises on Friday night, June 19, at 8 o’clock. WESLEYAN METHODIST (O'Neill) Rev. Melvin Grosenbach, pastor The camp meeting is still in progress and will continue day services in the Wesleyan through Sunday, June 14. Reverend Lester is doing an A-l job in expounding the Bible, and John Brady is doing equally as well in the ministry of sing ing. In spite of some bad roads we are having a good camp meeting. If you have not yet attended we give you a cordial welcome to come to any of our services. Worship, 11:30 a.m. Rieck - Farrier Rites at Gregory A quiet wedding took place at the Union Congregational church in Gregory, S. D., Friday May 29, when Miss Shirley Rieck, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Rieck of O’Neill, became the bride of Dean Farrier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Farrier of Chambers. Rev Edwin C. Burlingame officiated in a double-ring cere mony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Farrier of Gregory, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom. The bride is a graduate of the O’Neill public school with the class of 1951 and has taught in a rural school the past two years. The bridegroom graduated from the Chambers high school with classl of 1950 and is now employed at the (New Outlaw grocery. After a short! wedding trip they returned to O’Neill where they now reside. Bride in Church Ceremony Miss Feme Maralee Osborne (above), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Osborne of Atkinson, became the bride of Richard Ul rich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Ulrich of Atkinson, at 9 o’clock Saturday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, Atkinson. The maid-of-honor was Miss Eileen Osborne and the bridesmaid was Miss Arlene Ulrich. The bridegroom was attended by Norman Ul rich and John Osborne. Mrs. Lynn Schefer of Valentine, the bride’s cousin, was the matron-of-honor, and Miss Edith Goldfuss was bridesmaid. The bridegroom was attended by his cousin, Fredrick Friedel, and Gene Rutcher of Bassett. The miniature bride was Linda Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Roberts of Fremont. Rickie Kunz, son of Mr. and Mrs Bert Kunz of Stuart, was ring bearer, and Jannie Kunz,, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kunz of Stuart, was the flowergirl. They are visiting his brother and sister in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lemmer, and family and his sis ter, Mrs. E. A. Robertson. Mrs. Albert Lemmer drove to Lincoln Friday for her daughter, Vivian, who was a freshman at the University of Nebraska. She was accompanied by Frances Gottschall, who went on to Om aha to attend a nurses’ program at the University hospital on Saturday. Frances returned home Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. E. G. Hughes and Allan and Judy left Satur day for Hastings to attend the annual conference of the Meth odist churches held N there last week. Frank Murray was scheduled to be lay minister at the Meth odist church Sunday in the ab sence of Rev. E. G. Hughes, pas tor. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Stor johann will attend the Nebraska Stock Growers convention at Omaha today (Thursday). Ed and Frank Desieve are pumping out the pool for the recreation and swimming pro gram at the Atkinson state park grounds. The pool will have a gravel bottom when they com plete operations. Mr. and Mrs. William Craw ford and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunn spent Saturday at the C. E. Mitchell home where the men helped repair a roof on their house. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Slaymaker of Omaha spent the weekend visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slaymaker, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dierks, parents of Mrs. Slaymaker. The Cub Scouts of den II met at the Rolland Holmes home on Tuesday evening, June 9.
