Mrs. Montgomery 82, Mrs. Frank Miller’s mother passed a way Saturday morning at the Spalding hospital, following a stroke. Mrs. Montgomery had been making her home with the Frank Millers. Rolland • Schrunk has enlisted for service and will go for exam ination on June 22. Rolland has been teaching school for the past two years. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reimer and Elayne visited Norfolk ora Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller went to Spalding on Saturday. Leonard Miller and Donna Dal are attending summer school at Wayne. Martha Kinney visited at May nard Stearns on Monday after noon. Gene Tomjack was a Sioux City visitor on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schindler and Jimmy Dick from Omhaa have been visiting relatives here. A numiber of ranchers and bus inessmen went to Lincoln on Fri day for a hearing with the gov ernor and road department con cerning the completion of high way 108. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Paul and son, Gene, of Fremont visited at the Wayne Paul home over the weekend. The Deloit Pinochle club met at the Carl Thiele home on Thurs day. Mary Miller won high score and Judy Werkmeister low. Mrs. Sisson won traveling prize. A dessert luncheon was served. The next meeting will be July 2 at the Vincient Thiele home. The storm Sunday about 5 p.m. uprooted trees and broke wind ows at Carl Wulfs, overturned buildings at Clarence Funks and ruined a windmill at a nearby farm. Uprooted trees blocked the mail road past the Kallhoff black smith shop.. Had 2 inches of rain. No electricity of phone Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Murel McClure spent memorial day in Coleridge.
