    Trowbridges Hosts
to 100 at Open-House

Miss Mary Halstead began
working in the Farmers store,
o Jimmie Finley of Lincoln
came home last Thursday after
finishing a term of teaching a
rural school near Lincoln. She
has been reelected to teach the
same school next term.
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Parks
and Ruth and Larry returned ,
home early Sunday morning af
ter spending a two-weeks’ vaca
tion at San Diego, Calif., with
their son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. John Leist. On t
the way home they spent Satur
day in Omaha with Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Kelly.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Haynes of
Denton drove to Page Saturday
forenoon to visit relatives and
attend memorial services. They
were accompanied here by Mr.
and Mrs. Allen Haynes who had
spent a few days visiting in
their home.
Mrs. Waldo Townsend of
Osage, Wyo., visited Tuesday
night, May 26, in the C. A.
Townsend home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest West of
Orchard were Sunday dinner
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Dobbins.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder
and Mrs. Tom Sinnard and son
of Grand Island were Sunday
dinner guests in the Bert Fink
home in Ewing.
Mrs. Minnie Haynes of Pierce
was a guest in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. C. A. Townsend Friday

guests in the home of her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wilson.
Mrs. Fred Naslund and grand
son, Jerry White, have returned
from Walsh, Colo., where they
spent a week visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Cole and family.

The Nifty Needlers 4-H club
met Tuesday evening, May 26,
at the A. T. Crumly home. Mrs.
Helen Kreymborg, Holt county
extension agent, and Miss Joan
Voehl Greenwood, a former
member of our club, were visit
ors. The next meeting will be
Tuesday, June 9, at the Ivan
Heiss home.

family at Redbird.

Saturday dinner guests in the

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Carson
and Lois of Hyannis came Friday
and spent the weekend in the
Harold Kelly and Mrs. Hattie
Carson home. They returned
home Monday, accompanied by
Miss Marlene Kelly, who will
spend a week there.
