Programs are presented in the high schools during the day and in churches at night. This is the 17th annual tour of the organization, and the fifth tour under the direction of Miss Mary L. Holding. Soloists will be Sylvia Slater, Omaha senior; Geraldine Ray mond, Crawford sophomore; Beverly George, Lincoln junior. The trio includes Jean Han son, Oakland junior; Rosemary Lucke, Lincoln senior; Faye Mar tens, Chappell freshman. Other incidental solos will be taken by Patsy Hagenmeister, Potter junior; Janet Miller, Chappell freshman. Miss Barb ara Morris, Fairbury freshman, is the regular accompanist. Miss Sally Lieurance, Lincoln junior, will be with the group again as pianist and harmonica soloist. Sylvia Slater sang the lead in the Wesleyan music de partment’s presentation of “Song of Norway/’ given this past fall under the direction of Professor Oscar Bennett. She also appeared in last year’s opera. La Boheme, and in Naughty Marietta, the summer opera given at Pinewood bowl. The cast includes ail pupils from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Directors of the operetta are the teachers, Mrs. Don Krotter„ Miss Marguerite Smith, Mrs. Henry Waechter and Mrs. Jay Pilch. Proceeds from the operetta will go to the band uniform fund. John Valla and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Valla drove to Spencer to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Dvorak.
