Mr. and Mrs Fred Lorenz were addition al guests m the evening. Mrs. Hansberry's Mother Succumbs CHAMBERS—Mrs. E. C. Con ger, 78, died at Chambers Wed nesday, January 28. The body was taken to her home at Ong and funeral services were con ducted there Monday. February 2. * Mrs. Conger is Mrs. L. R. Hans berry’s mother. She has been living in Chambers for several months near her daughter. Mr. Conger also has been residing here. Mr?. Hansberry and Mr. Con ger left hortiy after Mrs. Cfin ger’s death. Rev. Hansberry left following tghe Sunday morning church service. The late Mrs. Conger was bom at Ecgar April 19. 1874. Her maiden name was Ida M. Thur ber. She married Elmer C. Con ger on March 30, 1898. Besides her husband and daughter, the late Mrs. Conger also leaves a son, Vem C-, of C hadron. Other Chambers News Mr. and Mrs. Dean Stevens and children of Atkinson spent Sun day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Carpenter. Pan Savage came Saturday from Alaska and visited until Monday with his brother-in-law and- wife, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Al derson. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Alderson of Tilden spent last Thursday and Friday in the T. E. Alderson home. ' Mr. and Mrs. John Honeywell were Sunday dinner guests in the „ Lyman Covey home. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Hale Osborne and Sharon of Winner, S.D., visited relatives in Chambers Sunday. Mrs! Charlotte Honeywell re turned to her home last Thurs day in Chambers after spending several months in the Seymour Harkins home. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Osborne of Winner, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Osborne and family of Atkin son and Mr and Mrs. Nale Os borne and Sharon of Winner were all guests in the Wilbur Osborne heme Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thonn and son. Pvt. Charles Thorm, visited Mrs. Thorin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Johnson at Page on Sunday. Mrs. Richard Jarman returned recently from a visit with her parents Mr and Mrs. Charley Smith, at Fonda. Ia., and also with her son, Jim, in Omaha. Mr and Mrs. J. W. Walter. Mr. and Mrs. Lvle Walter of Cham bers and Mrs. Dick Brion of Ne ligh drove to Norfolk Sunday to attend a 70-voice chorus concert held at the Norfolk high school auditorium. This chorus, directed by the renown concert director. Dr. Heynie. is from Concordia seminary of St. Louis, Mo. The former’s son. Norman Walter, who attends the seminary, was in tfee second tenor section. Mr and Mrs. Steve Shavlik, Mvron and Pamela drove to Clearwater Sunday to visit her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lvle Switzer. Rev. Ralph Sawyer and four children of North Loup con ducted services Sunday at the Evergreen church south cf Cham ber^ Thev were dinnei guests in the Nels Mikkelson home. Mr and Mrs. E. R. Carpent-r 5 accompanied Mr. and Mr=. T. T. Baker of Amelia to the Mignery ranch on the Beaver west of El gin on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brady, sr.. of Dorsey visited in town Saturday. Norman (Bud) Spelts, FA of the navy, spent four days’ leave here with relatives enroute to a new post in Norfolk, Va. He left Monday, February 2. He has been stationed in San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. David Widfeldt of O'Neal called at the Lynch hos pital Sunday, January 25. Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart of Pickstown, S-D., visited relatives here Sunday. Mrs. William Wilson and sons <pent the last weekend with Mrs. Don Bare. The REA families are now all moving to O'Neill, their contract work having been completed in this area. Several of these fam ilies moved to O’Neil] two weeks ago.
