turned Thursday, October 16,
from Rochester, Minn., where Mr.
Moss received medical treatment.
. . . Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zink are
in Cincinnati, Ohio, visiting with
a sister of Mr. Zink, Mrs. Flor
ence Downey, who has been very
ill. Her condition is improving.
Mrs. Downey will be remembered
here as Florence Zink and was
Holt county superintendent of
schools at one time. The Zinks
will also visit a brother, E. R.
Zink. . . Gail King of Valentine
was suddenly taken ill and un
derwent surgery at the Valentine
hospital. The children are stay
ing with their grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. John Hytrek, while
their mother helps care for their
father. Mr. King’s condition is
“satisfactory.”

Wednesday, October 8, to consult
; a doctor pertaining to Linda’s
health. She has been ill for the
! past three weeks. . . Mr. and
Mrs. Orval Connor of Norfolk
were calling on friends and rel
atives in Ewing on Saturday.
They were enroute to O’Neill to
visit Mrs. Connor’s father, who
is a patient in the O’Neill hospi
tal.
O’NEILL—County Sheriff Leo
Tomjack will return this weekend
from St. Joseph’s hospital, Omaha,
where he submitted to surgery on
Friday. . . Joe Schollmeyer is re
ported “up and feeling much
better.” . . Mrs. John Matthews
is in “good condition” in Our La
dy of Lourdes hospital, Norfolk,
where she has been a patient for
three weeks.
DELOIT —■ Merlin Shrunk fell
out of a tree while playing at
school last Thursday. His wrist
bone was chipped and was put in

a cast. . Ferdinand Hupp, jr., was
thrown from a horse and suffered
a broken hip. . . Mr. and Mrs.
Claude Elliot took their daugh
ter, Patty, to Omaha on Friday to
consult a doctor. Patty is recov
ering nicely from a polio attack.

and new daughter, Theresa Ma
rie, came home Wednesday, Oc
tober 8, from Atkinson Memorial
hospital Mrs. Leo Schneider is
staying a the Kilmurry home and
helping with the work.
SOUTH OF STUART—Mr. and
Mrs. Art Givens went to Grand
Island Sunday to see their daugh
ter, Lois, who is a polio patient
at the St. Francis hospital. Mrs.
Givens planned to stay this week
with Lois.
INMAN—Mrs. Milo Gorgen
underwent major surgery at a
hospital in Rochester, Minn., or.
Friday. She is “doing well.” Mr.
Gorgen and her mother, Mrs.
Dana Lines, are in Rochester
with her.
EMMET—Wayne Fox is in St.
Vincent’s hospital, Sioux City,
where he had submitted to an op
eration for appendicitis. He was
stricken while on his way to
Sioux City late Friday night
with a trailer truck of hay.
OPPORTUNITY—Mr. and Mrs.
Phillip Lee recently took their 4
year-old son to an Omaha spe- 1
cialist. The lad is suffering from
nephritis. They returned Tues
day, October 7.
BUTTE — A report from the
Lutheran hospital, Norfolk,
states that Mrs. Eliza Cooper of
Butte is “improving.”
LYNCH—Mr. and Mrs. Vince

were in Norfolk Thursday where

nesday, October 15. They were
attended by the bride’s sister and
brother-in-law, Mrs. Bud Van
Fleet and Bud VanFleet.
The bride chose a brown suit
with brown accessories for her
wedding and the matron-of-honor
was similarly gowned. They wore
yellow rose corsages.
Following the ceremony the
bride and bridegroom and a small
wedding oarty of relatives pnct
friends were served a wedding
breakfast in the M&M cafe in O’
Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Pereogov
gave a wedding dance at the K
of C hall at Atkinson that eve
•ling.
After a short wedding trip the
couple will reside in Atkinson.

LOCATION AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION
This desirable stock and grain farm is located in Clear Creek
Valley, on paved Highway No. 281, 5% miles south of Bartlett,
the county seat of Wheeler co., Nebr. Legally described as the
NEVa of Sec. 11, and the NWV4 of Sec. 12, township 21 N.,
range 11 W., Wheeler co., Nebr. GOOD SCHOOL ON THE
FARM. R.F.D. daily past the dwelling. Phone lines being ar
ranged so service should be available soon.
IMPROVEMENTS
* Electricity for power and light on this farm is furnished by the
Consumers Public Power. The house and bam are wired and
, there is a good yard light. Good one story dwelling with kit
chen, living room, two good bedrooms and closed in porch;
barn 24x36, including shed attached; 18 stanchions; grain bin;
hay mow; practically new brooder house; chicken house 10x20:
chicken house 10x16; com crib 8x16; two steel grain bins; two
hog sheds; two good wells at the house, one with good wind
mill. Farm is fenced and cross fenced, about 10 acres hog tight.
IRRIGATION, CULTIVATION. WELLS AND CROPS
; l20 acres irrigated. An additional 30 acres can be irrigated by
leveling small amount. Water for irrigation is supplied by an
exceptionally good well, equipped with power and pump de
livering 1,200 gallons per minute.
There are approximately 150 acres cultivated, of which 20 acres
is alfalfa. Balance is excellent pasture and hay land. One of
the pastures contains approximately 60 acres, in which there
are three ponds and one GOOD FLOWING WELL. From the
first of the season till September 20th, 27 cattle and two horses
were in this pasture. Since September 20th, 50 cattle have
grazed there and there is still an abundance of feed. The mead
ow produces excellent hay in abundance. Also stripped for
blue grass. ,
Irrigation on this farm insures a splendid com crop annually.
A goodly portion of this year’s crop is estimated to yield 100
bushels per acre. Alfalfa does well on this farm. A fair seed
crop was harvested this year.
