Joy Wilson Heads Community Club REDBIRD — The Scott com munity club met Tuesday eve ning, September 30, at the Scottville halL Election of officers was part of the business meeting. New offi cers are: Joy Wilson, president; Lila Hull, vice-president; Mildred Gifford, secretary; Willa Scholl meyer, treasurer; Minnie McDon ald, music leader; Marie Wilson, health leader and Mary Luber, news reporter. A lesson <Jh “The Common Cold’’ was presented by Joy Wil son. A no-hostess luncheon was en joyed together during the social hour. Other Redbird News Mrs. Albert Carson visited her parents, (Mr. and Mrs. Rex Evans and her sister and family, the Wendall Hills, all of Rushville, last week enroute from the ex tension women’s state convention at Chadron. Larry Halstead is assisting at the France store in Lynch on Saturdays. Mrs. Lucian Loock and child ren of Spencer spent Friday eve ning with her parents, the Leon Mellors. A large crowd of neighbors and relatives gathered at the Howard Slack home Friday evening, Sep tember 26, to surprise their dau ghter, Joy, on her birthday anni versary. Cards were played. Joy received many gifts. Friday evening, September 26, visitors in the Frank Wyant home were Mr, and Mrs. Howard Wells and daughters, Mr. and ---- » .. Mrs. Dale Bessert and Cathy and the Cecil Miller family. Sunday, September 28, visitors in the Ray Wilson home were Mr. and Mrs. Robert White, Shar lene Hasenpflug and Kay Harti gan of O’Neill. Mrs. Junior Wilson entertained at a stork shower honoring Mrs. Bill Wilson, Thursday. The hos tess served wafers and a salad for lunch. Helen Halstead stayed over night Friday with Ruth Osborn. Members of the Harold Hal stead family were Sunday, Oct. 1, dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Hartland and family of Niobrara.
