Peter Frahm Back from Europe Amelia Resident Has Extensive Visit AMELIA—Peter Frahm, who has been visiting relatives in Ger many since last spring, returned to his home here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Blackmore of Pickstown, S.D., brought her sis ter, Beth Watson, to her home on Sunday after she had spent the week with them. The Womens Society of Chris tian Service of Amelia took charge of church services Sunday, August 3, at Amelia Methodist church. Mrs. Vern Sageser, Mrs. Clyde Widman, Mrs. Blake Ott and Mrs. Etta Ott gave portions of the subject, entitled “Earth’s Abundance and Man’s Steward ship.” Scripture was read by Mrs. Earnest Johnston. The service was led by Mrs. Lawrence Barnett with Mrs. Clyde Widman at the piano. Rev. L. R. Hansberry con cluded the service with a dedica tion of the Lord’s herd project. The August meeting of the Ame lia WSCS will be on Wednesday, August 20, instead of Wednesday, August 27, as previously an nounced. The fu neral was held Monday. Present at the funeral were two brothers, August of O’Neill and Otto of Eau Claire; sister—Mrs. William Gloede of Altona, Wise.; two daughters; nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. While in Wisconsin Mr. Smith also visited his childhood home and visited with relatives and schoolmates he hadn’t seen in 50 years.
