From Omaha tney went to Grand Is land where they visited rela tives. They returned Saturday. Mr. Durr, who was succeeded last week by W. J. Nelson as manager of the Lee store here, has resigned from the company. He has not announced his future plans. Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson of Grand Island arrived Friday, July 18, and are spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Francis Clark. Miss Janet Derickson went to Grand Island on Monday, July 7, after spending two weeks in her home in O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Archer went to Norfolk Monday. They left by plane for St. Louis, Mo., where they will be guests at the home of their son, Ed Archer, and family. Witnessing the dem ocratic convention on TV was one of the pleasures anticipated by Mr. Archer. Jackie Kropp is spending the week at Inman visiting at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Anna Young. Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferies and Bonnie Jo spent Friday at Park Center. Mrs. Wilma Daniels and child ren were O’Neill visitors on Fri day. , I The Golden Gleaners 4-H club met at the home of Ruby Carl on Wednesday, July 16, from 2 until 5 o’clock. Seven members were present. After the business session the girls worked on their luncheon and tea towel sets. A period of recreation in outdoor games and refreshments served by Mrs. Josephine Elston brought the meeting to a close. The next meeting will be held July 30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noffje, jr. Miss Vaulda Welke came home Wednesday, July 16, from Wayne where she had been the guest of friends.
