Glen plans to remain a few weeks to assist in the bluegrass work and haying in the Ewing vicinity. Mrs. Mabel Boies left Sunday for Oregon to spend the summeiT with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Munn and daughters took her to Grand Island and re mained to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Archer and family. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hamilton and daughter moved Saturday into the R- G. Rockey residence recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Gibson and family. Mrs. Don O’Brien and two daughters, of Chicago, 111., are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Walker met them in Sioux City on Thursday- Mrs. O’Brien is the former Dorothy Ann Jordan. Clarence Hahlbeck, his aged father, George Hahlbeck, and Clifford Hahlbeck were honored guests at a family dinner on father’s day. Others present were Mrs. Maude Boies, Mrs. Clifford Hahlback and children. Mrs. Clarence Hahlbeck was hostess Miss Dianne Baum entertained at a slumber party on Friday evening at her home. Mr. and Mrs. T. Murray, of Columbus, Ind., arrived in Ewing Tuesday, June 10, for a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sis Ebbengaard. Mrs Ebbengaard is their neice. Garry Eacker Is spending a week’s vacation at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Fuller and family at Grand Island. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eacker and family attended the funeral of Mrs. Eacker’s uncle held at Exeter, Tuesday, June 10. Mrs. Mary Snyder has sold her building on the south side main street to Mr- and Mrs. Ralph Clyde, who operate Eda’s Cafe. At present, Doc’s Jewelry is located here. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Larsen went to Fremont on Saturday and remained to spend father’s day with friends. Ermin Reichert, of Long Prairie, Minn., is a guest at the home of his wife’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Tomjack. Mrs. Reichert and family will join him here in July O'NEILL LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McKenna, of Omaha, and Gene McKenna, of Cleveland, O., came Friday, June 13, and were guests of their mother. They attended the golf tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McKenna left for their home in Omaha Monday. Watson, became the bride of Rob ert Blackmore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Blackmore, also of Amelia, Sunday, June 15. The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. A. Hansberry at the Methodist church in Amelia. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white satin styled with a sweetheart neckline and long fitted sleeves and train. Her fingertip veil fell from a cap trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white Bible. Miss Nancy Watson, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a gown of lavender. Mr. Blackmore was attended by a friend, Bob Rohrs, of Hastings. Little Sharon Watson, sister of the bride, was flower girl and Larry Genung, cousin of the bridegroom, was ringbearer.
