To all persons interested in said estate, both creditors and heirs: You are hereby notified that on the 20th day of May, 1952, a petition was filed herein asking for the probate of the last will and testament of ISAAC O. BOYLE, deceased, a resident of Putnam County, Illinois, who died testate on March 13, 1930, seized of the following described real estate in this County, To wit: Southwest quarter of section 33, Township 31, Range 10 West of the 6th P.M., in Holt County, Nebraska, in which the petitioner claims an undivided one-ninth interest. The petitioner prays that the regular administration of said estate be dispensed with and for a finding and decree that said estate descended free of all debts against the decedent and for an assignment of the estate under the provisions of the will, and j for such other relief as may be j just and equitable. The Just-a-Mere club met Fri day afternoon with Mrs. Harriet Carson with eight members pres ent. A 2:30 o’clock luncheon was served and the afternoon spent playing rook. Mrs. Anton Nissen entertained the Get-to-Gether club Friday af ternoon. There were eight mem bers present. Beano was played during the afternoon. Refresh freshments were served by the hostess. mr, ana lvirs. narry narper en tertained Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harper and daughters, Sandra and Jeanette, of O’Neill, and Mr. an Mrs. Frank Beelaert and fam ily, of Page, at a dinner Tuesday evening, May 20,honoring the fif teenth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Beelaert. Merwyn French left the latter part of last week for Cameron, Wise., to bring the household goods of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dorr to Page. Mr. Dorr has completed the year as instructor of English in the Cameron school. Mr. French will also visit his brother, Clifford French and family, at Lamberton, Minn. Maj. and Mrs. Dwight Kem per, of Houston, Tex., left Wed nesday, May 21, after visiting a few days at the Home of Major Kemper’s uncle, Theodore Kem per, and wife. On their return to Texas they will stop for a short visit at the Melvin Kemper home at Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Kemper spent Tuesday evening with their parents and their house guests. Mrs. Gailord Albright drove to Mapleton, la., Friday to bring her daughter, Miss LaVonne, holme. She had taught the past year in the Mapleton school. Mrs. Albright was accompanied to Ma pleton by her daughter-in-law, i ' I Mrs. Melvin Albright, of Ran dolph. Mrs. W. E. Rowell went as iar as sioux City wnere she spent tne day visiting relatives, ivirs. The ladies an returned to their homes mat evening. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nissen and family visited Sunday at the* home of Mr. Nissen’s brother-in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Luebbers, and family at OsMiond. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Lingquist and famuy, of O’Neill, were din ner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sorensen. Mr. and Mrs. Waiter Tredway, Karen and Jimmie and Mrs. Ar chie Tredway, of Yukon, Okla,, came Saturday afternoon to visit Mrs. Jennie French and Miss Alice, and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Braadock and Jo Ann. Sunday the group were dinner guests at the Braddock home. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tredway and family will return to their home the first of the week. Mrs. Archie Tred way will remain to spent a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. French. Mrs. Saral Beltz and Miss Freda Beltz, of Plainvlew, were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Saltz and Sat urday night and Sunday guests at the William Neubauer home. The Help U club met Wednes day, May 21, with Mrs. Kenneth Waring for an all-day meeting. A no-host luncheon was served at noon. Seventeen members were present. Guests were Mrs. Ken neth Heiss, Beverly Finch and Marcelene McElhose. The ladies did needework for the hostess. A pre-nuptial shower was held for Miss Beverly Finch and she received many gifts. Mrs. Ken neth Waring had charge of the gift book. The club will meet with Mrs. Leroy Cunningham for their next meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyers and daughters, Susie and Betty, of Portlan, Ore., came Wednesday, May 21, and visited until Sunday with Mrs. Meyers’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Russell, and other relatives. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Meyers and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell and son, Willis, were guests, of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Spann at Atkinson. Mrs. Spann is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell. Discuss Long Pine Mother’s Camp CHAMBERS — The Valley Center extension club held a regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Lloyd deed on Friday, May 23. Fifteen members and three visitors were present. Roll call was answered by “My Favorite Electrical Appliance and Why.” The business session was con ducted by the president, Mrs. Herman Cook. Minutes of the last council meeting were read, also an invitation to attend the annual Holt county extension club picnic to be held in O’Neill on June 5. Mother’s camp at Long Pine was discussed. As ma ny as possible were urged to at tend the one-day meeting on Ju ly 31.' The music period was in charge of the music leader, Mrs. C. V. Robertson. The lesson on glass etching was presented by the leaders, Mrs. Paul Roth and Mrs- Guais Wintermote. Refreshments were served by the hostess. There will be no summer meetings. The next meeting will be in September at the home of Mrs. Charles Grimes. Other Chambers News Mr. and Mrs. Clair Grimes and Mrs. Lela Corcoran drove to Lincoln Tuesday, May 27, to at tend the graduation exercises of their daughter-in-law and sister, Mrs. Milton Grimes- Jeanenne Gibson accompanied them. Mrs. Keith Sexton and Nadine returned Thursday from Carlton where she had been caring for her mother, who was ill. ' Mrs. Letha Cook entertained the following guests to dinner at her home Sunday, May 25: Mr. and Mrs. Leo Adams, of Atkin son; Mr- and Mrs. Robert Turn er and Roger, of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. William Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chris tianson, all of Chambers. Pvt. Larry Tangeman, who is stationed at Ft Holabird, Balti more, Md., spent a snort time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Tangeman, and family. He returned to Ft. Holabird today, (Thursday). Mrs. Raymond Walter left on Thursday to join her husband, who is staitioned at an army camp in North Carolina. Her brother-in-law, Wayne Smith, accompanied her to drive the car through for her Rev. and Mrs. L- R. Hansberry left Monday, May 26, for Ong tc visit her parents until Wed nesday when they went to Grand Island to attend the annual con ference of the Methodist church. Glen Jungbluth and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jungbluth and chil dren attended a circus in Bart lett Sunday. Mr and Mrs. C. O. Briggs, of Red Oak, la., and Mrs. Stowell, of Omaha, came Thursday to at tend the wedding of their nieces, Ardith and Jeanne Farrier. They also visTTed Mrs. Briggs’s moth er, Mrs. Alma Farrier. Mrs. Stowell is a cousin of Mrs. Far rier Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rippen, of Portland, Ore., came Tuesday and visited until Thursday with his sister, Mrs- Anna Albers, and with the Louis Walter and Gor don Harley families George Mangold and son, Nor | man, of Fremont, spent the ' weekend in the Louis Nielson home. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lambert are moving from Lincoln to Cham i bers this week- They will live in ! the Ed Smith house in the north | part of town. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Blair and family were Sunday dinner guests in the Vern Wilkenson home Mrs. Valo Edwards returned Thursday from Ord where she viisted her son and daughter-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ed wards, and attended graduation exercises of her granddaughter. On May 15 she attended gardu ation exercises at Gretna for her grandson, Billie Flavell Daily vacation Bible school opened Monday, May 26, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church. It will continue for two weeks with forenoon sessions. The teachers are Mrs. Henry Walter, Mrs. Hil bert Hoge, Mrs. Victor Harley, Vivian Harley, Delores Harley, Ardith Walter and Mrs. Vernon Harley. Henry Brown, Sunday school superintendent, has as sisted in the preparation and will be in charge of the devotions on Wednesday. The following relatives and friends gathered at the Seymore Harkins home Sunday to surprise Mrs. Harkins on her birthday anniversary: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urban and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Harkins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harkins and family and Mrs. Julia Oetter, all of Ewing; Mr- and Mrs. Everett Gorgen and daughter, of O’Neill; Mrs. Charlotte Honeywell and Mr. and Mrs. John Honeywell, of Chambers. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Tibbetts drove to Winner, S D., Monday, May 26, to visit her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cooper. “Voice of The Frontier” . . . 780 kc., thrice weekly. Fora Knight Feted on Anniversary — Mrs. Fora Knight entertained at a birthday anniversary party on Friday, May 23, in honor of her husband, Fora Knight. The guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lavigne, of Grass Valley, Calif.: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jutte and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Martin, of Chambers; Mir. and Mrs. Allen Knight and son, of Ewing; Mr. and Mrs. Elbridge Maynard, of Creighton; Ted LaKota, of Gross; Mrs. Ben Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Knight and Susan, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bartos and Mr. and Mrs. George Mott, all of O’ Neill. Pitch was played for enter tainment with Mrs. Louis Bartos and Elbridge Maynard winning high score, Mrs. Walter Martin and George Mott were low. Re freshments were served by the hostess. SISTER DIES M!rs. Bertha Ruggles, of Clear water, sister of Mrs. Oscar Pru den, died on Monday, May 19, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21, at the Christian church in Clearwater. Survivors include: Son—Kenneth Ruggles. Her hus band preceded her in death about two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Os car Pruden and Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Kirkpatrick attended the fu neral rites. INFANT DIES PAGE—A daughter was bom to Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Robin son, Tuesday, May 20, at Bryan Memorial hospital, Lincoln. The baby died at birth. Mrs. Robin son is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Haynes, of Denton, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Haynes, of Page.
