Caywood, O’ Neill, Nebr- 4p35 Marilyn Faye Graham Presents Demonstration — The fourth meeting of the Lucky Clover 4-H club was held at Howard Graham’s on Friday evening, May 23, with seven mem bers present. The minutes of the meeting was called to order by Leroy Hull, our vice-president, due to the absence of the presi dent, Claranna Carson. We sang two songs, “America” and “Little Brown Church in the Wildwood.” Plans were made to have a 4-H Sunday, the date to be announced later. Marilyn Faye Graham gave a demonstration on preparing oat meal cereal. Marilyn and Ruth judged muffins. Leroy and Betty talked about different kinds of shrubs, leaves and flowers. The Fix It boys selected several items they were going to make and plan on bringing a game board for their next meeting. Next meeting will be held at Claude Pickerings on June 5 at t p.m. After the meeting Mrs. Howard Graham served a lunch of cool aid hot dog sandwiches, cake, coffee and jello. Due to the ab sence of our news reporter, the leader, Mrs. Hull, asked me to re port.—Betty Osborn, secretary. | Clothing Demonstration ] Scheduled — EWING—The Happy Hollow 4-H1 club met Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Tay lor. Jackie Mosel, president, pre sided at the business session. Roll call was answered by naming a favorite game. Group singing of 4-H songs was enjoyed. This was followed by the divisions holding separate meetings. The divisions consisted of groups in dairying, gardening, and homemaking. Pencil judging was practiced by individual groups. This is a 4-H game used to gain experience along the lines for judging. A demonstration will be given by Jeanne Welke and Jackie Mo sel on clothing and use of pat terns at the next meeting on June 13, to bo held at the Wilmer Mo sel homo. Other girls in this pro ject are invited to join the discus • sion on choice and selection of clothing. At the close the evening a lunch was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Chris tiansen were the teachers the past year. Well-filled lunch box es and lots of ice cream, also visiting, were main attractions of the day.
