Bar X Club Admits Member — The Bar X project club met on Thursday, April 3, with Mrs. Loyal Hull. All members but one were present and a guest, Mrs. Marion Woidneck, who joined at this meeting. The lesson on “How to Make a Corsage’ was given by Mrs. E. H. Chace. The hostess conducted a guessing game and prizes were won by Mrs. Marion Woidneck and Mrs. E. H. Chace. The husbands attended this meeting and cards were played. High score was won by Mr. and Mrs. George Syfie, jr., and low score to Arthur O’Neill and Mrs. Francis Wabs. Secret pals were reveal ed and gifts exchanged. A short business meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. Ivan Heiss. The lesson, “Hand Mend ing,” was given by Mrs. R. V. Crumly and Mrs. Robert Nissen. The group participated in sing ing and games, led by Mrs. Ray Snell. A lunch was served by the hostess. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Robert Nissen on May 13. The Friendship Rebekah lodge, of Page, entertained 20 members of the Arbutus lodge, of Inmafi, at the regular meeting Tuesday, April 8. The Page extension club met with Mrs. Emma Dorr Tuesday afternoon, April 8, for a regular April meeting, with 12 members and two guests present. The guests were Mrs. Melvin Lama son and Mrs. J. I. Gray. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Merwyn French, the meeting was conducted by the vice-presi dent, Mrs. Elmer Trowbridge. It was voted that the club donate three dollars to the Red Cross fund. Mrs. Melvin Smith and Mrs. George Clasey presented the second half of the lesson on mending, which was “Hand Mending,” this time demonstrat ing the different kinds of stitches to use and various pointers on the use of blending thread, study of the weave and fabric and patching with mending tape .Mrs. John Lamason was in charge of the games and music. Mrs. Sor ensen, Connie and Jimmie ac companied her to Ainsworth to the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Kennedy. Mr. Sor ensen spent Sunday at Ainsworth and his family returned home with him. Sgt. and Mrs. Lyle Davis spent Sunday night at the home of the former’s brother-in-law and sis ter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Singleton, and family. On Monday Mrs. Singleton accompanied her brother and wife to Chadron where they visited at the home of another brother, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Davis, and son. This is the first time the two brothers and sister had all been together in 15 years. They returned to Page Friday evening and after supper Sergeant Davis and wife returned to Scribner where Mrs. Davis makes her home. Sergeant Davis had recently returned home from Korea and will report to Camp Carson, Colo., for fur ther assignment.
