G. Rockey and Elmer Bergstrom were the successful candidates for the two-year term on the vil lage board of trustees at the elec tion held on Tuesday, April 1. They will replace the retiring members, Mayor Leland Welke, Duane Fudge and L. D.‘ Brenne man, who were not candidates for reelection. Jerry Tom jack was elected for the one-year term and will suc ceed Waldo Davis, who was not a candidate for reelection. In the school election, M. B. Huffman and L. P. Dierks were the successful candidates for the three-year term. Leland Welke’s term expired this year and he was not a candidate for reelec tion. L. P. Dierks’ term also ex pired this year but he was a can didate for reelection. O'NEILL LOCALS St. Monica’s Guild entertain ed on Thursday, April 3, at the Knights of Columbus hall. Dwayne Cavanaugh, of Las Vegas, Nev., who has been home on a furlough, will also spend Easter with the family.
