Mrs. Weber, accompanied by Mrs. Pennington, were on their way to Bartlett when Mrs. Pen nington collapsed. Inman Yule Program Planned Dec. 20 INMAN — The senior class members of Inman high school were guests of Wayne State Teachers’ college at Wayne, Fri day, November 16. The occasion for the invitation was Wayne’s first senior day, designed to give the seniors a glimpse of college life by allowing them to visit classes and observe the every-day functions of a college. The day Was spent visiting classes, viewing a movie of Wayne’s homecoming and it was climaxed with the playing of the championship football game be tween Wayne and Doane college, of Crete. „ , The varsity basketball team was defeated by the alumni, 33 32, Tuesday, November 20, at the Inman auditorium. It was the first test for either team and served as a "conditioner” for both crews. The annual Christmas program is planned for December 2 in the high school auditorium. The pro gram will consist of a mixed per formance of skits and Christmas music with Mrs. Eileen Seger in charge. December 8, 10 a.m., in the court room here. The council wants to hear the views of the people in this part of the state on teachers’ retire ment, teacher certification and school finance. The Holt county town teachers’ association met Tuesday evening in the O’Neill public school. Supt. Allen Burkhardt, of Norfolk, was the speaker. Music was furnished by Ewing, Atkinson and O’Neill. A coffee hour was enjoyed at the close. The Holt county rural teachers’ association will meet Friday, No vember 30, in the O’Neill public school. A program will be given by several rural schools. Miss Zetta Tate, Cherry county super intendent, will be the speaker. A coffee hour is being arranged by Mrs. Theresa Ernst, president of the association. Riverside Clubbers Attend Social— c Most of the Riverside 4-H club members attended the program and box social in school district 47 Wednesday, November 21, giv en by Ramona Schneider and pu pils. The box sales brought in over $30. Sunday afternoon the group gathered at the Ed Boyle home for their first skating party of the season. Following the skating, Mrs. Boyle served sandwiches, cake, coffee and kool-ade. Rich ard Boyle and Catherine Vltt were honored with birthday cakes.
